The gala behind them, Soliel and her marines now set to the task. Setting up check points and setting up walking tours to Tokyo. There were booby traps everywhere. There are many in the city who still support Lavigne and her goal of expanding the Shoguns power on the colony.
Soliel had been doing sweeps early in the morning. The Phoenix Fleet and Phoenix Defence League was providing anything additional they could to make the Tamarians feel that they were being welcomed back into the fold. Soliel literally brought loads of replicators and would give them out in the morning. Many had been damaged during the war.
Soliel had not spoken to Caleb since the night in the commune and felt totally alone. She was working and nothing more. She was in the Tokyo Main Camp. She had yet to move into the Lavigne house for fear of traps or worse. The house was being swept by the Dogs and her by her marines.
Werner Lenz, "Wolfman" had become her go-to guy. The First Lieutenant could get things done. He was very proficient at his job. Soliel had grown to be quite fond of him. The teams had gone to bed when the rain started. Because of the beautiful pink and blue sky of the Typhon Expanse, rain was very beautiful here. It glistened an almost pinkish hue, like lightly flavored strawberry water. Soliel was standing looking out at the rain when she picked up the communicator.
Christine was dead asleep when the communicator beacon went off, "T'Nley."
"Christine, its Soliel.", Soliel responded.
"Colonel. Is it news worthy?", Christine sat up in her bed, pulling some covers off of Caesar. He pulled them back covering back up.
"No, social.", Soliel whispered.
The Vulcan-Romulan hybrid stood up exposing her naked body, grabbing her robe and walking out into the hallway.
"What's it like?", Soliel asked.
"What like, dear?", Christine answered.
"Sex with an Antican.", Soliel blurted it out.
"Well.", Christine swallowed hard.
"The appendage is the same but like most canines it kinda goes up inside when not in use. Other than being a bit hairy, depending on the race of Antican, there is really no difference.", Christine felt very uncomfortable.
"Does it hurt?", Soliel asked.
"It is no different... Most races have similar genetic tracts in evolution ending up where we are today.", Christine grinned.
Soliel listened and then smiled, "Sorry to wake you."
Christine slowly closed the communicator. She walked back into the master bedroom. Caesar rolled over, "Work?"
"No, Colonel Viceroy-Todd.", Christine removed her robe and crawled into bed.
"What did the Colonel want?", Caesar asked.
"She wanted to know um...", Christine stopped herself.
"Know what?", Caesar asked.
Christine reached under the covers and grabbed his ....
Caesar forgot all about the question as Christine mounted the Antican Doctor and slowly started to move up and down. It was unbelievable. Christine felt renewed by the question. She had forgotten how wonderous interspecies relations could be.
Soliel wandered into the marine camp and over to First Lieutenant Lenz tent. She stepped inside. She had been alone through this. She had been alone for too long. Werner was started and stood up... naked. He slept naked because it was more comfortable with his fur. He reached for his green marine robe but Soliel leaned into him before he could and placed her head against his chest.
He slowly put his paw on her back and just held her. There was no sex. No kissing just comfort. No one wants to be alone.... ever.
