The Klingon ship started to bombard the location where the Da Vinci was hiding. "Report" Vreenak bellowed as he entered the bridge.
"Sir, somehow the Klingons learned of our arrival and are dropping mines similar to old Earth Dept Chargers to try to disrupt our cloak" replied Lt. Williams as she angled the helm to move away from the shock waves which would allow the Klingons to find them.
"Raise the shields and drop the cloak. Set course 774 mark 242 mark 7 ahead warp 4 as soon as we enter the nebula cut power and activate the cloak. Have engineering disable the IFF system so nobody can see us including the Colony. Then set course back to the colony at warp 2 and orbit the last planet in the system" Vreenak said as the ship suddenly dipped to starboard and went to warp.
"Sir, we are being followed by three Klingon Vor'Cha class starships. They are signaling us to stand down and prepare to be boarded. They are claiming the Colony as a Klingon planet and are stating our being there is an act of aggression between the Empire and the Phoenix Federation" The tactical officer reported as the ship was hit by several disruptor blasts. "Captain we are also receiving a report that three Federation Ships are on an intercept course and ordering us to stand down."
"What the hell is going on here" Vreenak said. "Set course for the Federation ships and prepare to detonate the ships backup warp core right on top of them. Helm, make sure we drop out of warp right on top of them and as soon as the Klingons arrive blow the core and make sure we are at warp. Lets make sure that this looks like an attack by the Klingons on the Federation."
"Aye Captain" said the Tactical Officer as he got with Engineering to have the warp matrix modified to match that of a Klingon ship. The ship drops out of warp right on time with the Klingons hot on her trail. As the ship comes to a sudden halt over the Federation Sovereign and Nebula Class ships Vreekak detonated the Da Vinci's backup core the second the Klingons dropped out of warp. As the Da Vinci activated her cloak the Federation ships took massive damage as parts of the ships began to vent atmosphere and the Klingon ships began an uncontrolled crash into one of the nearby Nebula Class Ships.
Vreenak watched from the ships observation room at the forward section of the Da Vinci as the ships began to bleed atmosphere and launch escape pods. He was grateful that nobody could see the look of sadness on his face as he was forced to kill Federation Officers just following their duty and blaming it on the Klingons.
He taps his communicator. ="Send the Transmission"= he said as a subspace message went out claiming the Da Vinci was destroyed and that they were attacked by the Federation and were forced to attack them back giving them coordinates on the Federation side of the Amanda Corridor."
"Helm set course back to the colony" was all he said as he made his way to his quarters to drink away his sorrow.
