The images of the Klingon tanks and troops reentering Kalama and the shouts of the great victory from General Kabarann at the top of her lungs are forever linked to Klingon history. The House of Olarg has retaken the Klingon city. The images of the Klingons bringing out anything Cardassian into the streets and burning them is something that will mark a dark day for racial relations on the Phoenix Colony.
The devastation of the kidnappings and sheer violence of their efforts will also forever scar the colony. Betrayals by Elizabeth Coren and Uhlan S'Lyyna are now a part of the underbelly of what was once a place of honor and integrity. The colony's conscience has been turned on its side and exposed for the dirty and soiled soul it has become.
General Kabarann has proudly proclaimed this day as the Klingon escape from Gre'Thor and the return to Stovokor. She proudly proclaimed the city of Kalama a Stovokor of this plane. Her empassioned speech belayed the great victory for the city.
An investigation reveals this is no great victory by the Klingons. Instead, this is a great victory of sacrifice by the Cardassian people. Legate Vash Enranet was exposed to the tragic kidnapping and the horror of the escapes of Christine T'Nley, Brooklyn Paneera and Nicole Branson. He was shown what the Cardassian occupation had meant to the city.
Vash had gone to Atlanta to escape the pressures of being in control of the city and there he would meet Olivia Roarke. The Orcan would show him what the occupation had caused and she would show him something else. Olivia would remind him of why he had abandoned his Cardassian history and what the occupation had done to Bajor. What he had done to his Tacey and Lacey Lyun. Olivia reminded him of the horrors that the Cardassians were capable of and how this new occupation had only brought back the darkness of the white snake culture. Enranet was embarrassed and felt ownership of the kidnappings.
Vash met with Phineas Roarke about moving his people into the city of Atlanta. The host was more than happy to help out. Suddenly, the city of Atlanta was alive with new citizens. The beaches were alive with new activity.
Jessamine Leo looked out at the beautiful resort city and turned to Galley, "Why didn't we come here first?"
Galley laughed, "Slow learners."
Many of the senior Cardassians returned to their ships but they could go knowing that their families were safe in a beautiful paradise on the Phoenix Colony.
D'Solos Vreenak came out to Atlanta to meet with Phineas Roarke and Vash Enranet. The governor looked at Vash, "I understand that you would like to assume command of the Atlanta Colony."
"I would. I would like the city to become the Cardassian home.", Vash responded.
"Unfortunately, the charter given to Phineas Roarke indicates that the colony must remain in Roarke hands. I don't see an out.", D'Solos looked at Vash.
"I can help him with that.", Olivia walked out. She had become the voice of reason in this whole affair. She had been the conscience. She had shown Vash what the occupation of Kalama had done to colony.
"I will become his queen.", Olivia grinned.
Phineas looked at Olivia, "Really."
Olivia grinned and looked at Vash, "If he would have me."
Vash had been alone on the Tanmesad for a long time. He had begun to accept that he would be alone forever. The women in his life had been hurt by an association with the Cardassian rebel. Vash smiled, "I would be honored."
Governor Vreenak proudly proclaimed Atlanta the new Cardassian homeland. Vash walked with D'Solos as he went to sign some papers. D'Solos finally had to ask, "Legate Enranet, why would you give up Kalama?"
Vash reached into his uniform and pulled out a PADD. He handed it to D'Solos. Vreenak engaged the PADD and looked down.
D'Solos started to chuckle, "Enough said."
