The Sunday evening news has been a staple of modern culture dating as far back as communication history can attest. The family would gather around the radio, the television set, the main viewer and now the heads up display to hear tell of the tales of the land.
The Phoenix Colony is no different. In an effort to foster a strong family bond lost in so many of Star Fleet's colonies, the legend of the Sunday evening news has been restored by the Omega News Network and its anchor, Christine T'Nley.
In most cases, the romp can be a very entertaining one. Christine ends up on a tirade about good governance, about the whims of President turned Admiral William Hunt, about the fascist perils of the Cardassian Governor, Legate Thua'ra Varno or about the lunacy of the Omega Academy Chancellor Nicole Branson.
Tonight however it was not for families. Tonight the tirade was about fingerprints...
Fingerprints found on a sword... Fingerprints that belonged to alleged killer Marcus Dinn. Fingerprints that clearly link the now infamous arms dealer turned businessman, intelligence officer turned bar tender to a murder. A murder here on the Phoenix Colony. Christine, of Romulan heritage longed to see the dangerous Dinn brought down on the colony and his dangerous association with Star Fleet and with Phoenix Fleet intelligence brought to a halt. She took great pleasure in the announcement and in the attack on Dinn and promised her viewers she would be in the front row when Commander T'tan pronounced Marcus Dinn guilty of murder...
Her glee only feuled her attacks... Fingerprints was her theme and her attack when from Dinn and his sword to Branson and fingerprints of a different kind. Using security cams lifted from Atlanta, images of Branson and Dragons Operative Alexis Bladon were shown to the viewers across the colony. Christine took great pleasure in lighting up the Chancellor and her morales as she chastised Nicole and her moans in the hotel filled with Major Tanus and Dr. Meadow Coren, with Colonel Brown and Waverly Wayne. Christine ended her tirade with these words...
"Fingerprints will bring down two people on the colony... Marcus Dinn's on a sword and Alexis Bladon's deep inside Nicole Branson!"
