Elizabeth Coren and Admiral Tim Veltkamp had been spending a lot of time at Governor's trying to explain the Star Fleet position to the Colony Fleet, the Phoenix Fleet and Phoenix Federation representatives.
Lavender had come over to defend the honor of Admiral John Williams. Lassie had been in Star Fleet Intelligence since the academy and respected Williams as a father figure. Nicole and Lassie had not seen each other in a while since her failed attempt to seduce her in order to help Star Fleet Intelligence discover secrets about the colony, the Phoenix Federation and the politics of the region.
Star Fleet Intelligence had grown jealous of Branson and her ability to work within the framework of the regional command of Praetor T'Ros of the Romulan Empire and General Hon'Tihl Kabarann as a conduit to the Klingons. Lassie had developed a soft spot for Branson. Nicole was her lover, no matter the deception involved.
Nicole was on Governor's with Alexis Bladon. The marine had accepted the assignment to guard the Chancellor. Lavender watched the days activities unfold. There was little doubt who wore the pants in the relationship. Alexis bossed Nicole around all day. Alexis ordered her to dress like a sexpot. Alexis ordered her to hold her hands. Alexis simply ordered her.
Lassie watched as Alexis bullied the budding governor to be. Lavender was in OZ when she heard all she could stand. Alexis took a huge swig of beer and then looked at Nicole, "Get us a hotel room, get naked and get you legs up in the air."
Lassie could not stand it. She walked over to their table, "This woman is one of the most powerful and respected women in this region. How dare you treat her like some sort of whore? She deserves your respect."
"Lassie, this is not your concern.", Nicole looked up.
"It is my concern. I cannot condone disrespecting you.", Lassie responded.
Alexis stood up, "Get lost, Federation. This is the Phoenix Colony. You are not welcome here."
Lavender turned to walk away. She stopped and looked back, "Nikki, you could do better."
"Like you?", Alexis blurted out.
"Maybe.", Lavender walked from the room.
