Nicole came home to find Dr. Coren asleep on the couch looking at the ONN reports on the rescue of Mayor Merken Vreenak of Vorta'Rome. Nicole had gone to the Academy after being released from the hospital. She wanted to make sure everything was okay.
Lassie slowly stirred. Nicole kissed her on the forehead, "Rest now, sweetie."
Nicole went into the kitchen. Lassie stirred and then followed her looking at Nicole. Nicole got a glass of wine from the replicator. Lavender looked at Nicole, "I have been told by Commodore Alexander Paige of the USS Washington that he would be making contact with you in the Federation Complex tomorrow."
"Paige? What the hell for?", Nicole bluntly responded.
"My father went to him and asked him to bring the USS Washington to bring me back to Starbase 234.", Lassie looked at the floor.
"Do you want to leave?", Nicole did not understand what was playing out before her.
"It was a dark part of my life Nicole.", Lassie looked at her lover.
"Would you stop speaking in this intelligence jibberish. What the hell is going on?", Nicole grabbed her arm.
Lassie felt a warmth in her touch. She started to cry, "Nicole, I was in the briefing when Admiral Dominic Montgomery briefed the Station Senior Staff including my parents on the Cetuin Slave Army attack. I knew too. I told no one."
"You what?!?", Nicole snapped dropping the arm of the young officer.
"Many people died!", Nicole shouted.
"I would do anything to have it back, Nikki. I never knew you all. I was only out to hurt you. You took my Magenta.", Lassie tried to explain. It was pure deflection.
"I will leave with the Washington if you want me too.", Lassie looked at the floor like a scolded child.
Nicole was so mad. She had built a colony of honesty, integrity and freedom and now it had become a place of deceit, politics and secrets. She made a fist. She wanted to punch Lassie so bad.
"You have a lot of karma to make up Betazoid.", Nicole sternly looked at Lassie.
"I will work extra hard at the hospital. I will help these people Nicole, regardless of race and I will spend the rest of my life making this up to you.", Lassie begged. She looked down at Nicole's clenched fist.
"You can hit me if you like.", Lassie grit her teeth.
Nicole really wanted to but she cared very deeply for the Betazoid. This was 2391. This was no way to behave in any relationship regardless of gender.
Nicole went upstairs. Lassie stood there for a few minutes and then went upstairs. She stood at the doorway and slowly unbuttoned her uniform allowing it to fall to the floor...
"Should I start now?", Lassie asked.
"I wish you would.", Nikki giggled.
There is nothing better than make up sex...
