Convincing Alexis Bladon to do it was not tough. She had been able to not only control Nicole but even bully her. She enjoyed their relationship and now with Lavender back in the picture that was lost. Alexis had learned her relationship skills from Tanus and Bell. She was a marine and she was in charge.
Varno used this to his advantage. He whipped Alexis into a lather over being betrayed by the Betazoid Council and by Lassie Coren. Thua'ra even went so far as to convince Alexis that Lassie was working as an intelligence officer. Varno told Alexis that Lassie was not in love with Nicole. She was simply using her to allow Admiral Alexander Laree and the Betazoid Command, currently under Rear Admiral Eugenio Coren to take control of the colony. This collection of half-truths gave Alexis the motivation she needed.
At Natalia's barbecue, she watched for the perfect opportunity. As Nicole returned to Omega Prime from Atlanta, Lavender grabbed a shuttle for Second Corinthians. Alexis was a fine pilot and a marine. Taking out the poor ensign was not even a challenge.
Alexis informed Lavender that she was simply protecting the colony. She was doing the right thing. Lavender did not love Nicole and Nicole was too close to see that she was being manipulated again. Lassie begged Alexis. She told Blade that she did love Nicole.
Alexis would have none of it. Elizabeth is gonna have a fit. She already believes that Nicole was responsible for all the tragedy in her life and now Lavender had been kidnapped.
Colony politics has never been easy and now its worse... There is so much at stake...
