The USS Quasar Quest docked with the station. Tania was on the promenade when Brenna came running up and gave her "other" grandma a really big hug. Tania looked at Nicole, "Nicole."
"Mother.", Nicole looked at her rival for the role of Governor.
"Come on, Elizabeth Coren.", Tania finally blurted out at her daughter.
"She has attempted to destroy. She even has attempted to kill you. Why would you even consider it?", Tania glared at Nicole.
Nicole looked at Brenna. She thought about the words of her daughter, "Why can't you get along?"
She looked at Tania, "We can save the colony. We can set this right."
Tania looked at Nicole, "Bruce Montgomery... Tim Veltkamp... William Hunt... Hell, you even slept with a Romulan to keep the Phoenix Colony from falling into Romulan hands. You will do anything for power... even Eiizabeth Coren. I thought I raised you better!"
Nicole looked at Tania, "You did not raise me mother! You left with the Borg. I was left to fend for myself. I will do what I have to."
Brenna looked at Nicole and Tania, "We need to start working together."
Tania looked at her granddaughter, "I am not going to trust Elizabeth with anything. I am not like your mother."
Tania stormed off.
Loiza looked at Elizabeth, "What you are proposing is preposterous! We cannot put our faith in the hands of Nicole Branson. I flat out refuse to let that naive floozy have the power over the Omega Sands again. We have control over the trade now. We just need the colony."
"We are not going to win the colony, Loiza. The Bransons will split the vote. We will get the merchant support but it won't be enough to unseat Governor Enranet and the status quo will be restored. The treaty will have to be reopened. Hatherton is a dolt. He cannot control the King's Fleet much longer.", Elizabeth looked at Admiral Illyan Coren's beloved wife.
Loiza knew that Elizabeth was right. The Betazoids needed Branson and they needed her as Governor. She stormed off.
