Nicole was in Ephyra City when Star Fleet made the formal announcement that Admiral T'Ora had been selected over Admiral Illyan Coren to head Star Fleet out of Paris. There had been speculation that Illyan would be selected in order to ensure the continued trade of the Omega Sands and that Alexander Laree would assume command of the Betazoid Alliance. Everyone was relieved to learn that Star Fleet had decided to let politics aside and do the right thing.
Nicole was also very pleased to learn that Admiral T'tan of Vulcan, a woman she trusted and who had served as first the Phoenix Fleet and later the King's Fleet Judge Advocate General, would be named Vulcan High Commander become just the second woman to hold the very prestigious post behind Admiral T'Ora herself.
Nicole arrived home tired after a day of politics to find the children already in bed and D'Tall to be nowhere to be found. Nicole enjoyed a nice shower and headed upstairs to crawl into bed with her Orion lover. She was surprisd to see D'Tall still awake and laying on the bed.
Nicole grinnned as the fighter pilot waved her weapon and then put a little champagne on her nipple. It was the perfect night cap after a tough day.
