Nicole may be a lot of things but one thing is for certain, she is a woman of honor. She may have gotten her rank in a civil role. She may be a Vice Admiral only because she was good at the paper work, but one thing is for certain; from day one, she did what she said she would do and she got it done.
Nicole agreed in RICKS to the indecent proposal to end the Romulan Tal Shiar search for Commander T'Ros so that she could live out her days in exile her at Omega Prime. Nicole gave directions to the "Little Lakaria" to Commander Surul and asked that he come alone. There would be no entourage of Centurians and no evidence of the interaction. The deed would be done.
Surul did as he was requested. Unlike his Romulan bretheren, this was not a business deal. He truly lusted after Nicole. The Romulan truly wanted Nicole. He arrived with roses for his love. He laid her out on the bed. He spread the roses in an ever romantic scene and he spent the night with Vice Admiral Branson.
Surul left without incident leaving only a single PADD informing Nicole that the hit on Commander T'Ros had been removed. He ended the PADD message with a simple phrase, "Thank you...."
