"I don't know why John insists that we hold these crew luncheons. We see each other every day.", Autumn grumbled.
As usual, only she and Allison were on the bridge amongst the command crew.
Allison looked back from the helm, "It is important for us all to be friends so that we will be willing to give our lives for our crewmates."
"I know that. I would do that simply out of honor. I just hate to go there alone. I know the crew makes fun of me for being a cold hearted Tactical station bitch whose only joy comes from firing the weapons. When I go to those events, I stand by myself. I drink by myself. I look stupid. It does not endear the crew to me or me to them.", Autumn was open and honest, maybe for the first time since she left the Tanmesad in what seems like eons ago.
Allison looked at her, "Sir, you do a fine job. I mean Ma'am."
"You probably had it right the first time, Ally. I act more masculine than most of the males on this ship. My father wanted a son. He got me. I spent my life trying to prove that I could shoot better, fight better and even act tougher than any man in the Betazoid Alliance or Starfleet and now the King's Fleet. I probably deserve to be called Sir.", Autumn frowned.
"What if I went with you.", Allison bluntly announced.
"What?", Autumn responded.
"I go to those events and people mock me as a stopover port for the Black Widow. I really did love Nicole but she was not ready to settle down. I was left with nothing. I had to join the marines or being kicked off the colony. I know they make fun of me all the time for being Nicole's bunny.", Allison observed.
"I am left to sit alone too. People don't think it is safe to approach me because I might be the property of the Governor so I end up alone every night.", Allison looked at Autumn.
"We spend our time around Lindsay and Sunny and they have a special love. Lindsay has stood by Sunny even when she has made stupid career decisions because she loves her. That's the kind of love I want. I don't want to be Nicole Branson's arm candy or a marine bunny passed around a tent in the battlefield. I have tried both and they are not for me.", Allison made some adjustments on the helm. She had become an awesome pilot.
"To be clear, it would just be so we are not alone in front of the crew.", Autumn reminded Allison.
"Understood, Commander.", Allison responded.
"I will pick you up just before the crew luncheon.", Autumn sounded so emotionless. It was like a Vulcan was suddenly on the bridge of the Providence.
Allison had a playful spirit and she was playing around in the hallway crouching down when Autumn came to pick her up.
Autumn looked at her as she stood up, "You look very cute... Um Nice."
Allison smiled at the Providence officer still wearing a spaghetti strap shirt and camouflage pants, "Thank you, Commander."
