Colonel Acrylos Teero endured the occupation of Bajor. He suffered at the hands of the Cardassian but he rose above the hate. He served as Chief Engineer aboard the USS / CGV Tanmesad under the command of Gul Vash Enranet.
When the colonists failed on the Phoenix Colony, a place he helped build, he helped lead them to Ephyra, a Bajoran garden and tried again. When the law took Ephyra from the colonists, he packed his things and moved to the mouth of hell. He built a world on Cheron VI. He built a kingdom. He built Camelot.
The Romulans took that from him. They committed an act of genocide. They burned the throne of Camelot. Acrylos watched what he built burn. He had watched it burn again and again. He should have packed up his industrial replicators and went to Utopia Planetia and build ships.
He packed up his gear and went to Medara. He refused to quit. He watched as the monster rose again. The dragon lit up his kingdom again. They burned his throne. The First Corinthians Station fell from the sky. They should have quit.
Branson let them down. She was not a leader of ships. She was a leader of people. People's careers were destroyed. The Bajoran Militia took his rank. Acrylos Teero became a Colonel once more. He refused to return to Bajor under penalty of loss of rank.
In 2380, 14 years ago, Admiral Illyan Coren and Admiral Vincent Viceroy stood on the Observation Deck of the first Governor's Station and proudly announced that the King's Fleet was more than the USS Quasar Quest and a dream. They had a station. They were a fleet. The fleet lead to the foundation for the Betazoid Alliance which stood mightily against the Empire of V'Ros.
In 2394, Colonel Acrylos Teero stood on the same bridge, the damn exact same design, right to the last bolt. He looked at Summer Vasa who had once again walked out on Admiral Tan. She was a proud Betazoid. Colonel Teero looked out the viewer.
Summer looked at him, "What you have done here.... It will be talked about for centuries. The Betazoid people stood up to the Romulans. They stood defiant. They have risen again."
Admiral Alexander Laree walked up to the pair, "We thought we would an alliance. We thought we could be a federation again but it turns out, we can't be either."
Acrylos looked at the legendary Betazoid, "What are you?"
Alexander put his hand inside the fingers of Summer Vasa and looked out the viewer, "I know now. We are King's!"
Acrylos started to tear up,"Damn straight!"
