The Klinogons were the first to report the phenomenon. There were massive sections of the population that simply disappeared. Shortly after the report, other great powers began to report massive populations simply gone.

Colonel Acrylos Teero was the first to propose that the colonists may be responsible. The legendary engineer has suggested that the destruction of Vulcan and Romulus in one timeline, the parallel destruction here and then the overlay of the Branson Bissect may have so blurred the timelines that the missing populations have been pulled into another temporal reality.
Our goal needs to be to discover what triggered the temporal shift and then to repair it.
