The appearance of the USS Typhon was like a beacon in the sky. Anyone on the colony could see the flashing lights on the carrier from the planets surface. Often people have wondered what it must have been like to experience the sheer joy felt by the humans of Earth when the Star of Bethlehem marked the birth of Christ.

It is said that an aire of peace spread across the world. The USS Typhon is our Star of David, its very existence is a beacon to the races of the Omega Protected Territories that the colony is well protected. The Typhon was brought an aire of peace, spread across our world.

For the humans, this is a time of joyous celebration. The Jake Anderson Parkway was a festival of lights, a glow with the spirit of Christmas. 2400 years have past since according to the legend, the babe was born in Bethlehem but the spirit of peace remains a constant and the feeling of warmth that is Christmas has befallen the colony.

No matter if you are part of the race of believers, you are a part of the hearth that is the spirit of Christmas. People are nicer. You can see Cardassian children running through the parkway with Bajoran children. You can even see Romulan children from Vorta'Rome in shops of the Parkway enjoying the candies and special treats that are a part of Christmas.

For one citizen, there is no such joy. Rear Admiral Nicole Branson sat in her offices at the Academy going over applications for the January session. She was also busy acknowledging transfers of students to the Typhon. She was not thinking of Christmas. Her joy for the season had been taken by the grinch that is Fleet existence. Her mother, Tania and her sister, Nancy were aboard the Tanmesad thousands of light years away in the Torros System. Her beloved T'Liama had returned to Romulus with Commander Llhran and her new flame, Captain Trista Coren had accepted the executive officer position aboard the USS Princess Diana. This was not a time of joy for Nicole.

Nicole had not had the best year. She had been chastised by the Omega News Network for her behavior aboard the colony and for her lack of leadership but this attack is unfounded. The colony has established the largest Omega Molecule research facility in the Quadrant. The colony had also built a beautiful second city, Veltkamp Village but this is all for not, hidden in her relationship and in her personality. Nicole should be reverred for her successes but is vilified by the Omega News Network as a figure head for the leadership of Admiral Vincent Viceroy.

Vincent knows her pain. He respects her dearly. She is not only his commanding officer, she is his friend. Vincent stopped by the offices with Bobbi-Lee Kennedy. The pair were now public and very visible. They were on their way to the Commune Christmas Party. Vincent tried to convince Nicole to come but she did not wish to attend. She told Vincent that she would spend her Christmas Eve in her Cardassian Refugee home alone and she was content with that.

Vincent however was not content with that. His mind was sent into motion. Vincent is the former Commander in Chief of the King's Fleet. He has many friends in high place. Vincent took Bobbi-Lee to the Commune but headed for his Federation Complex offices. There was a time for the party but Santa Claus also has his duties on Christmas Eve.

Vincent first contacted Commander T'Ros of Vorta'Rome. Romulans do not celebrate Christmas. She was at the Omega Research center. The pair talked for a while and Vincent even raised his voice a couple of times. This will be done and will be done quickly. Vincent reminded the Romulan Consulate Head that the Typhon was in orbit. It seemed to peak her attention. Vincent then contacted Star Fleet and his nephew, Admiral Gavin Viceroy at Governor's Station. He would need a maximum warp prisoner transfer and he would need it immediately.

The Tal Shiar raided the home of Commander Llhran on Romulus arresting T'Liama for treason and warning Llhran that any threat against the operation would be seen as an act of treason against the Romulan Star Empire. Llhran commands the Quadrant Flag Ship, the Owl's Claw, he was not prepared to rage against the empire. T'Liama was removed without incident.

Instead of being taken to Romulan detention, she was transferred to the USS Hercules and headed at Warp Speed for the Omega Colony. Marine Captain Anderson Smythe kept her under armed guard. T'Liama was not permitted to know where she was going.

She was next transferred to Vorta'Rome and to the custody of Commander T'Ros who was met by Commander Acrylos Teero and Admiral Vincent Viceory. The Romulan looked at Vincent, "You owe me. Big time."

Vincent just smiled, "Merry Christmas, Ms. Rose."

The pair took T'Liama to the Cardassian Community and then to the home of Rear Admiral Nicole Branson. At this time, they revealed their plan ~ to return Commander T'Liama to the Rear Admiral as a Christmas gift. T'Liama was a Romulan. She was stoic and strong. She had strength of conviction and character. She had served in the Tal Shiar but she was moved to tears. She looked at Vincent, "But what of Llhran."

Vincent smiled, "We have taken care of that. This is for Nicole."

T'Liama looked at the Bajoran and the aging human, "This is a good thing that you done here."

T'Liama walked up to the door, still in her Romulan silver walked up to the door. She chimed the LCARS entry as Vincent and Acrylos hovered away.

Nicole opened the door. T'Liama never said a word, she simply raised a single mistletoe above the pair. Tears streamed down Nicole's cheeks as the pair reconnected after their tragic separation...

Vincent looked at Acrylos, a Bajoran but a man of faith and smiled, "Merry Christmas Mr. Teero, Merry Christmas."
