Nicole and Vincent have been dealing with the hard sell of convincing the vessels in the King's Fleet to help with the Andorian exodus and to help plan the driving out of the Andorian Armada by the Klingons. There is a harsh drive amongst this battle hardened small fleet to inflict some real damage on the Armada. The Klingons have to look like the winners to those who are covering the events from afar with a minimal loss of Andorian life.
John has literally told his Task Force that the loss of life can be minimized while still destroying as many ships as possible. To quote Captain Warren, "Make them pay!"
Vincent tried to tell John that his aggression was misguided. John snapped back at Vincent, "They killed Peter."
Funny how we misremember things when someone passes away. John hated Peter and his choice of the Aquarian Dr. Rhythm Dennyson. He chastised him and even drove him away because of the relationship but now in death others have to pay for taking him away. Vincent had even heard the words right out of John's mouth, "I wish he would just go away."
Nicole's second goal was to get the colony to accept the castaways. Nicole knew that the Task Force would displace many vessels in the exodus. Many Andorians without rank would not be able to return home after the rescue from pods. They would be stuck in the Beta Penthe sector. This would have to be their new home.
If Nicoe was Governor, she would simply grant them refugee status and then work on the trouble with integration. Nicole is not the Governor, Grace Gra'Naarg is. Grace was granted the authority to govern after Harper Madison resigned over his reaching out to the Andorians. The decision to grant refugee status would fall to Grace.
Nicole reached out to the Governor. Grace invited her up to the Governor's Mansion. Nicole wanted to meet in the colony complex. Instinctually she had to know what Grace wanted.
Grace answered the door.
Grace was hardly dressed as the Governor of a very important buffer state between the Klingon Empire and the Federation. Grace looked at Nicole, "It is so good to see you."
Nicole could see her eyes glass up with tear water. Grace looked at Nicole, "So you want the colony to take in Andorian refugees?"
"Yes, Grace, please.", Nicole almost begged.
Grace looked at Nicole, "I think I can be persuaded."
Grace put her hands in her pockets and pushed down on her jeans to expose the top of her white lace panties.
Soon they were upstairs. Grace slid Nicole up on to the pillow. She disappeared much lower. Nicole gasped for breath, "I thought I.... I... I... Was supposed to be the one con... convincing you."
Grace looked up, her face glistening with the evidence of Nicole's excitement, "Oh I was going to accept the refugees no matter what. It is the right thing to do. I just wanted to get you in my bed. I missed you so much."
Grace disappeared once more.
