A lot can change in a short time! Monica met behind the scenes with Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar trying to broker a deal in the Branson show trial. There was a lot of pressure within Starfleet and the Federation to make this go away so further progress could be made in the integration of the Klingons.
The stresses from outside the trial grew even stronger when the House of Larle captured the IKS Hon'Tihl Kabarann. Worse yet, long serving King's Fleet officer General Casey Larle has assumed command. This is the first major setback for the House of Kabarann in a long while. The House of Larle has already spoken out against remaining part of the Federation. Chikace Larle is a very popular figure in both Starfleet and the Klingon worlds. The Federation simply needs the show trial to go away.
Starfleet and Federation leaders have come to President Pasha Trmel with incredible pressure to resign to allow the leadership to reach out to the Klingons. Having all the extra vessels in the Klingon service coupled with the recent damage to the Romulan worlds from the temporal weapons under Admiral London Todd makes the Federation easily the preeminent superpower. After intense pressure and negotiations, Admiral Antoinette Viceroy and President Pasha Trmel have agreed to return to the King's Fleet.
Former Reykja Penthe Governor and Branson Beauty Klingon Aadarsh neroQ becomes the new President of the United Federation of Planets. NeroQ becomes the first transgendered President of the UFP. If only General Louis neroQ could see this event. He once tried to affect the timeline to allow the Klingons to take over the Federation. A member of the House of neroQ is in charge of the whole thing.
Aadarsh quickly recruited Admiral Lati U'Hatla as the new head of Starfleet. The daughter of Admiral Landon Hatherton and My'Rah U'Hatla is another Klingon in a key position trying to keep the bound with Chancellor Lupac Kabarann.
Toni has agreed to assume command of the cha'paj, a far cry from leading the 80000 vessels in Starfleet. She has quickly appointed Pasha Trmel as her executive officer. The move displaces Admiral Tan and Captain Tania Branson who will assume command of the Academy and have already set about revamping the school and it's Klingon centric curriculum. Tan had been openly critical of the lack of development of the Academy graduates. Now he will have address those complaints. It is easy to complain but never easy to come up with solutions.
The lose of the Honey Bee has really hurt the careers of Velvet Sanders and Autumn Laree. Velvet will rejoin the Providence, a ship she once commanded on the helm with the significantly reduced rank of ensign. She was devastated when informed that she would serve on the helm with Sympathy Ford. Autumn Laree rejoins the Providence as its Chief Tactical Officer but as only a lieutenant. The former Betazoid executive officer has been complicit in the failures to save the Honey Bee and in her own failure to identify Dr. Chikace Larle as a threat. She has accepted her reassignment well.
These moves have left the colony without a governor and the wej'veQ without an executive officer. These positions will have to be filled pending the outcome of the Branson show trial.
Monica had strict orders to end the trial at all costs. She went to meet with Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar. She knew the arrogant boar could not resist temptation.
Monica looked at Marcus-Brutus remembering his disgrace that cost him everything in the King's Fleet and Starfleet. It has taken a long time to rebuild his career. He wanted to get Branson back. He looked at Monica. Marcus-Brutus knew the Montgomery history with Branson. He looked at her, "We could both bring her down together."
"Or you could sign the withdrawal of charges document and f**k me. You could return to Tellar claiming your superiority in an act of forgiveness. You win twice. You get this.", Monica ran her fingers down the side of her painted up beauty, "And you get to look like the returning hero."
Marcus-Brutus was vindicative and wanted Branson but he was also a boat with a notorious reputation as a lover. The old boar grabbed Monica ripping off her panties. Monica was disgusted as the sweaty boar pounded her. She groaned more than moaned with each thrust. The mighty Tellarite gave a groan of his own as he finished inside the human. He looked at Monica, "I will order the release of Nicole Branson."
Monica stood in the shower disgusted with herself. She thought about Nicole and the trial of the century as lawyers for the Montgomery trashed her for wanting sex with Admiral Bruce Montgomery in exchange for rank. She was even more disgusted with the history now. It was like saying she wanted it from Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar to get Branson released. She never wanted. Nicole could not have wanted it. Sometimes there is not enough water to wash away the disgust from your body. Monica slumped in the shower in tears.
Monica came into the operations deck of the wej'veQ. Admiral Lati U'Hatla was there. Lati was overjoyed having received the document from Monica. The trial and its distraction were taken care of. Lati looked at Monica, "I would honoured if you would return to Paris as one of my senior tactical advisors."
Monica looked at Deveniss with a longing look. She wanted him to speak up. Monica looked at Lati, "I would like to continue to serve on the wej'veQ."
Monica had chosen Starfleet over Deveniss on previous occasions. Deveniss looked at Monica a bit stunned.
Admiral U'Hatla smiled, "I would love someone so loyal as the Federation Observer here."
Deveniss looked at Lati, "I cannot accept that."
"The observer position is a Starfleet decision and not a King's Fleet one.", Lati reminded the Old Selayan.
"Monica is not a Federation officer, she is a King's Fleet officer and the Executive Officer of this station.", Deveniss blurted out.
Monica started to cry looking at Dev. She could not get the words out but she mouthed, "Really?"
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
Monica was in the shower. It will take a lifetime to clean the stench away. Deveniss enter the quarters and disrobed. The haggard old Selayan with his scaly snake like skin climbed to the shower with the naked human. Monica leaned forward against his chest. Deveniss put his hand on her back and held her. This was the only place in the universe she ever felt safe.
Monica looked up, "You know what I did?"
Deveniss picked up the wash cloth and wiped it softly on her breasts, "It is time for a clean start."
Monica just sobbed hugging her Selayan mate.
