Stephanie walked hand in hand with Mars Viceroy. It was ironic to see the Asst. DA walking with the public defender. Stephanie looked at Mars, "This is what I wanted. I just wanted to be productive and be a part of something. I was a pilot, a tactical officer and a functioning member of the King's Fleet. I was not content to be a housewife. I just needed you to understand."
"I reacted poorly, Steph. I lashed out. I betrayed our trust. I betrayed you.", Mars frowned, "I am a Viceroy. I am supposed to be a man of class and dignity. Vincent, Gavin and all the others preached honour and I betrayed you with Bella."
"I promise to spend the rest of my days making it up to you.", Mars kissed Stephanie.
Bella was furious to learn that the human had return to Stephanie. She went to Caitlin to return to 2388. She also went to Trudi while Nicole was at work and promised her a plumb ambassadorial assignment to return to 2388. She would be given a staff, a plumb assignment to Earth and be given access to housing, replication and privilege. Trudi agreed to the opportunity leaving Nicole and Mackenzie alone in Brooklyn.
The trouble for the Tellarites, a founding people of the Federation is their influence was largely garnered in the years 2388 to 2396. The Tellarites were not allowed to make reference to the successes of Admirals Jaskalla Naar'Haaj or current leader Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar in 2388. The complaint from Starfleet was that the Tellarites had no "skin in the game" with the girls withdrawing from the assignment.
As a result, Marcus-Brutus went to Admiral Vasha Prang'Laar to ask him to send his daughter to Brooklyn. He reluctantly agreed. Jandaa Lorin Prang'Laar was sent to Brooklyn.
Nicole was very sad to learn that Trudi had abandoned her. She was once the black widow. Her mates would be killed. People feared being associated with her. Now her recent affairs have ended with persons leaving Nicole. The partners had taken control scaring Nicole worse than her tragedies. In the last eight years, she has been cursed to struggle in a relationship.
Vasha told Jandaa that she did not have to associate with Branson knowing her history. The Prang'Laar family had lost Francine and Penny to associations with this human but Vasha did tell Jandaa that if she was struggling to fit in Nicole would be helpful.
On her second week in Brooklyn, Jandaa finally broke down calling Nicole. She told the human that she had been begging the humans in the hallway to bring her groceries. She would give them a list but there were few Tellarite like vegetables or other foods she had become accustomed to. She asked Nicole to get her groceries. Nicole agreed and introduced Jandaa to Mackenzie. The young lady could get her things and would enjoy the added responsibilities. Jandaa was very happy to have the help.
Nicole was very happy to learn that KC Medical was getting a mobile x-ray upgrade for the trauma unit. She invited everyone down to supper to celebrate the council approval of funding. Galley was very happy to have the business. Nicole went by Jandaa's to invite her.
Jandaa declined, "I am not part of the group. I am assigned here. I am not King's Fleet. Thank you but I am here as ordered by Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar. I don't belong down there."
"How 'bout you come as my guest?", Nicole offered.
"A date? My father told me not to associate with you in that way. I appreciate the help with getting me food and with trying to make me feel comfortable but I need to just fulfill my duty.", Jandaa responded very officially.
"Consider it a standing invitation. If you so chose, I would be honoured to have you as a guest.", Nicole smiled.
Nicole was sipping a glass of wine. She, Jackie and Skye were laughing about the success. The ladies were so happy to have the new diagnostic tool. Nicole looked over to see Jandaa come walking in. Nicole grabbed a glass of wine for her guest. She walked towards the beautiful Tellarite.
Nicole gave the young Tellarite a glass of wine. Jandaa looked at Nicole, "It was just better than sitting in that apartment staring out at the world."
"It's a start.", Nicole smiled as she began to introduce the newest assigned to the membership of the King's Fleet.
