Things he not been going that well for the Tanmesad and her crew. With the Klingon attack on the Connection, the lucrative Antarian Accelarant trade had been lost and the Cardassian Union had lost the valuable ability to remain a viable trading partner given the vast distances to be travelled. Everyone aboard the ship was on edge and grouchy.
Ro Marino had been spending a lot of extra time working in engineering trying to hold the old bucket of bolts together as she continued trading with the Hebetian Republics neighbours. Thua'ra too had been very busy trying to keep those same trading partners from choosing a Klingon or Romulan option. He and Marino had not had a chance to be a couple.
Thua'ra teased Marino that he had forgotten what his Bajoran mate looked like dressed as a woman because he only ever got to see his ridged nosed mate in his uniform. Marino smiled, "For Union."
Thua'ra did not like being mocked by his own flaws. He had betrayed the King's Fleet on multiple occasions for the Cardassian Union.
The Tanmesad had successfully traded Cardassian metals for pharmaceuticals on their trading mission. For once, everyone had had some success. Dawn had set the grand old ship on course back to Cardassia and she and Vash had disappeared.
Varno could not believe how good he felt bringing the medications back to his home planet. There was a time when he would have traded his own children for weapons and now he was finding joy in the saving of others. His heart was showing a purity he never even knew existed.
This purity had also allowed him to find love. The Tanmesad was on impulse power basically gliding to the wormhole that would take it back to Cardassia. Ro Marino had a chance to go back to the quarters he shared with the Cardassian who rescued him from Marcus Montgomery. He was able to shower, remove his body hair; all of it and then to dress in the garments of a female. He was able to feel the release.
Marino played with his growth enhanced hair as he waited for Thua'ra Varno. The Bajoran thought about his psyche. He was a fine soldier and a brilliant engineer. He was good at his job. He thought of his lifestyle choice. He could easily have gender reassignment. In 2395, such a genetic alteration was easy and even common. He just did not want that. He was all man. He could also have just been a homosexual. Acceptance was commonplace now. Prejudice, especially in the King's Fleet, was not a concern. He had tried that. It just did not feel like him.
Thua'ra walked in to see the skinny Bajoran casting an amazing silhouette. He smiled. He had not see the sight in too long. The heels lifted his tiny Bajoran butt up as if enticing the Cardassian to push inside those butt cheeks. Thua'ra grabbed Marino smiling and pulling his pantied butt towards his hips. There had been so little to celebrate since the Connection failed. This was their chance to grab a little piece of heaven in the service.
There was not time to waste.
