Nicole had listened to Vincent complain about the lack of influence with the United Federation of Planets and with Starfleet now serving as a buffer state surrounding the Klingon Empire. Vincent lamented about once heading Starfleet and about watching as the King's Fleet placed members of its leadership group in key positions with Starfleet. Vincent thought about the glory days of standing up against the Empire of V'Ros.
Vincent grumbled about how Admiral Michaela Hatherton had done what her father James had dreamed of; she had made the King's Fleet irrelevant. Nicole left the meeting to join her lover First Lady Bella Pan'Taar who welcomed Klingon Chancellor Francois neroQ and his wife Aadarsh neroQ. The goal was to extend an olive branch to the Klingons to try to stop the violent raids on the Temporal Dilthium trade routes.
Nicole was standing near the back of the room when Chancellor neroQ made his way near the back to talk to the Governor of Reykja Penthe. Francois looked at Nicole, "Aadarsh is a power hungry lunatic who is drunk with blood wine. She has killed key generals who help reestablish the neroQ family. She has gone mad."
"And what do you propose that I do about that?", Nicole asked.
"Become my empress.", Francois bluntly announced.
"Apparently you do not know me that well.", Nicole chuckled drinking from her wine glass.
"Therein lies the beauty of my plan.", Francois announced.
"I too do not have any sexual desire for you or anyone for that matter. You can keep your Tellarite handmaiden. I will then be allowed to eliminate Aadarsh neroQ. We will make public appearances as a couple. We will repatriate the Reykja Penthe. You will be given the title of Empress and the authority that contains. You will be relevant. In fact, the United Federation of Planets will have to negotiate with you.", Francois promised.
"And what of Bella?", Nicole asked.
"Bella Pan'Taar will be named Governor of Reykja Penthe.", Francois promised.
"Admiral Viceroy will be tasked with brokering the Klingon Empire negotiations with Starfleet. His ships will escort ours in these negotiations. The King's Fleet will have more power in the region.", Francois offered.
Nicole looked at Francois, "And no sex?"
"No, of course not.", Francois responded.
