From the moment that the Quasar Quest achieved Warp 12.5, Dr. Xact Tchilack became more excited about this the potential of the Temporal Dilthium and began experimenting with renewed access to the wormhole network. The Edosian hybrid became obsessed with getting ship back into the wormhole network.
He became crazed filling the clear boards in the room with equations. He believed that the competitive advantage that the Klingons were so obsessed with may be available to the Federation because of the success of Colonel Teero's Dwarven Dilthium.
Dr. Xact Tchilack went to Admiral Monica Montgomery with his equations and his potential experiment. Xact proposed capturing a part of the historical universe and pulling it into the future. However, not just any part of the past, an active uranium mining operation. Dr. Tchilack spent an hour trying to dumb down his theories that the Dwarven Dilthium was enhanced by its travel forward and has been capable of producing incredible propulsion potential but the printing of these crystals was little more than precious gems. Dr. Tchilack used his charts and diagrams to demonstrate that the infinitely more potential energy in the already powerful uranium.
Monica asked about the actual inhabitants of the temporal rift. Dr. Tchilack stated that they would chose a fly in mine like n a remote location with a predominantly local staff. The King's Fleet staff will be interceded with the locals to process the accelerated uranium which can then be processed into Dilithium. The local television will be streamed in from the Archangel complete from the appropriate time.
Monica looked at Dr. Tchilack, "And it will work?"
"I think so.", Dr. Tchilack responded.
"You think or you know?", Monica looked at Xact.
"If it does not work, it is only a regional fleet authority orbiting a minor colony.", Xact bluntly announced.
Monica looked at the physicist. She commanded the Montgomery Fleet, a regional fleet authority orbiting a minor colony. Hell, she commanded the King's Fleet. Monica thought about access to thew or hole network and what that would mean versus the Romulans and Klingons. This is why people leave this role after a time. These decisions remove years from your life.
Monica looked at the Edosian hybrid, "Make this happen."
"Aye Admiral.", Dr. Tchilack responded.
