he Tkon Empire did not like the Federation or Starfleet. It is why the Delphi Ardu region was banned from travel. This meant that if a ship strayed off course, the highly advanced Tkon Empire would take those ships down.
Unlike Zek Ishka, salvage rights do apply for the second constellation class discovered on Delphi Ardu V by the crew of the USS Providence. It was positively eerie to watch Lt. Commander Tori and Lt. Picasso Leo dragging skeletons outside the ship. Between the Borg Disconnect and the Caitian, they buried more than 400 bodies in the largest cemetery build in the history of the King’s Fleet. As many as possible were identified by their communication tools and were marked with new graves. This was a painstaking process but necessary.
The USS Unity was lost in 2249 and is now rechristened as the USS Providence by Commander T’Ensa on May 20, 2400. The next project was to get the Providence back into the air. The Borg Disconnect turned technological cannibal began stealing parts from other parts of the ship.
I don’t think I have ever heard a louder cheer as when Picasso got the nacelles to hum…
“We are cookin’, baby!!”, the Caitian shouted on the comms.
My skin crawled as a Vulcan who believes in order and structure. This was not the expected, “The engines have come online, Commander.”
I turned to Dakota and smiled, “This might be all right.”
My beautiful First Officer looked at me, “Oh yeah, a 200 year old vessel that has already crashed is all right.”, with a level of sarcasm that I had not heard from her before.
