Bajoran Bequethment Empty
PostSubject: Bajoran Bequethment   Bajoran Bequethment EmptySat Aug 11, 2018 7:56 am

Vincent looked at Walter, “We have the Imperials on the run. You have to help. We can take Cardassia back too.”

“Starfleet cannot continue to commit resources to the Bajor Sector. We do not acknowledge the existence of the Galactic Empire so in the minds of the Federation, Cardassia is dealing with an internal rebellion. To interfere is a violation of the Prime Directive.”, Admiral Wilson looked at Admiral Viceroy.

“You of all people should know that.”, Walter frowned.

“We have good intel that Emperor Devreon has made overtures to Saehir Marrus about using the former Romulan Praetor to convince the Romulans to support Imperial Expansion.”, Vincent grumbled.

“Marrus is an exile!”, Walter mocked.

“She is one of the finest military minds in the last twenty years. Her genius combined with Imperial Expansion will reconnect her with the Romulans. This is a credible threat.”, Vincent lectured.

“The Romulans are barely recovering from the temporal incident that left their world destroyed. They are not the threat they once were.”, Wilson continued to poke holes in Viceroy’s observations.

“We need to deal with this.”, Viceroy snapped.

“The King’s Fleet was allowed to reconnect to deal with this.”, Wilson snapped, “So deal with it. You once commanded the 80000 vessels in Starfleet. You should be able to develop a strategy for your five ships.”

Viceroy shook his head, “If Marrus and Devreon link up, the Federation will be threatened.”

“Then prevent that!”, Wilson walked away.

“I may be able to help.”, Commander Teero walked up to Viceroy.

“How?”, Viceroy mocked, taking his mood from Wilson.

“The King’s Fleet, in its service to the colony of Ephyra employed a modified constellation class ship. That ship was transferred to the Bajoran Militia after the colonist moved to Reykja Penthe in the Klingon Sector. In my association with a Lady Thylara, we have discovered the ship still exists.”, Teero offered.

Viceroy looked at him, “The John Paul?”

“Yes, the USS John Paul II still exists.”, Teero smiled.

“Great but who will command it?”, Vincent frowned.

“We have a qualified Captain.”, Tan interrupted.

“Who?”, Vincent frowned.

“Captain Jasmine Naar’Haaj is a qualified Starship Captain.”, Tan offered.

“The Tellarite? She flies the damn Yacht. She is a Branson’s Chauffeur not a Starship Commander.”, Viceroy grumbled.

“She qualified in the Tellarite Space Service. She can do it.”, Tan offered.

“And who will be in her command group?”, Viceroy grumbled to his Chief of Staff.

“Captain Moyer and Dr. LaLana Shran have been on the Plato. I am sure Admiral Lissan Shran would be overjoyed if her daughter got the CMO position aboard the John Paul.”, Tan offered.

“They have been on the Plato for mere months.”, Viceroy snapped.

“Wartime promotions are common, Admiral.”, Tan offered.

“And executive officer?”, Viceroy grumbled.

“Jasmine seems particularly fond of Galileo Leo.”, Tan suggested.

“The Caitian cook?”, Viceroy scoffed.

“He once commanded Governor’s Station.”, Tan offered.

Viceroy looked to the heavens, “Inform Captain Naar’Haaj of her assignment. Inform her to prepare to move on Cardassia.”

Tan looked at Vincent, “Aye, Admiral.”

Jasmine stood on the bridge of the USS John Paul II. She thought of her family history, of trying to take over Starfleet and the horrible fallout that came from the power move. The Tellarites were once a respected founding father of the Federation only to be shunned by the Andorians, Vulcans and the humans. This was the first step in getting back their place.

Galley walked in. Jasmine turned to her Caitian Officer, “You look marvellous, Number One.”

Galley smiled, “As do you, Captain.”
