"Just like that?", Christine looked at Acrylos.
"Just like that. The Bajorans are afraid about the recent trend here. General Nickel Nerah will lead us back on the straight and narrow.", Acrylos looked at the floor.
"Branson, Viceroy and hell you, built this place from a collection of hutts to 3 freakin' cities and this is how you get repayed.", Christine snapped.
"The Bajorans want to make sure that the influence of the Betazoids is limited. They believe that Dr. Orchid Coren-Lau, the trill is a plant. They also believe that Vice Admiral Elizabeth Coren knew about the Klingon attempts to control the colony and did nothing. They are afraid. They have removed the civilian government and installed a military governor.", Acrylos looked at the floor.
"Why the hell don't you stand up for yourself?", Christine snapped.
"The prophets will decide.", Acrylos responded.
"You are an idiot! You are a god damn genius. Your industrial replicators are the envy of the Star Trek Corps. of Engineering.", Christine mocked.
Acrylos just looked away.
General Nerah came in, "I would like to see each and everything you report prior to its hitting the airwaves or PADD media."
Christine burst out laughing, "I am an independent contractor. I own the building and its contents. If you try to censor me, I will let flow the wrath of information like you have never seen before."
Nerah glared at her, "Are you defying me?"
"Stating a fact!", Christine shouted back.
Vincent walked in with Commander Elora Vasa and Nicole Branson.
"Governor Branson, your services are no longer required.", General Nerah informed Nicole.
"Rear Admiral Nicole Branson, Director of King's Fleet Services, please inform Governor Nerah that you are here to make sure that my needs and the needs of the vessels in the King's Fleet are met.", Vincent glared at General Nerah.
"Rear Admiral, what a joke!", Nickel looked at Vincent.
"Rear Admiral Branson held a similar role in the Omega Fleet in service to Fleet Admiral Tim Veltkamp, the senior Star Fleet Representative in the region and to Admiral Bruce Montgomery in Star Fleet itself. Are you prepared to question the authority of Star Fleet, General?", Vincent asked.
Nicole stood there and smiled like the cat that had swallowed the canary. Nerah looked at Vincent, "You will not get away with this. Branson is so close to the Betazoids. She cannot be trusted."
Christine burst out laughing, "And you sir are so close to the Klingons, the ridges should be on your skull and not your nose."
General Nerah stormed off. Christine looked at her colleagues, "What are we going to do about this?"
Vincent looked stunned at Christine, "We??"
