The Phoenix Colony Star Fleet leadership has begun to divert resources which could be used to rebuild damaged facilities in Jersey and to assist with the construction in Tokyo to this pet project of Captain S'Nii and her student crew.
This is yet another example of how ineffecient and ineffective the military leadership was on the colony. Searches of the communication logs have revealed that Vice Admiral Nicole Branson has received permission to begin re-fitting the Prometheus Class hull of the former USS Wrath of Achilles. To complete this project, the hull is bring towed to the Colony by the USS Queen Elizabeth II under the command of experienced leader Captain Kevin Vance. This will be taken to Jersey and General Smith will secure the refit. This project is low energy and low effort. The Jarada are already well equipped, even under the damage of the Tamarian terrorists to complete this task. The colony should have a support vessel and it was not prudent of Star Fleet to remove the USS Queen Elizabeth II but that decision is not up for criticism here.
Instead, despite the reassuring knowledge that the USS Wrath of Achilles will soon be able to be brought back into service, the leadership of the colony is still insistent on continuing this pipe dream of launching the 300 year old Lexington from the sand. This is absolute insanity and a clear waste of resources.
It is my understanding that Commodore Vincent Viceroy is not supportive of this plan. Surprise, surprise ~ the intelligent former governor believes this is a waste of resources but the project is being spearheaded by Vice Admiral Nicole Branson to get the Lexington for her former girlfriend Captain S'Nii and her current concubine Lt. Magenta Coren. Worse yet, the excavation is being coordinated by Dr. Velta Varno, the so-called "Velvet" Cardassian is a part time partner of Governor Skye Greene. This smacks of disgusting to anyone of intelligence. This coven, and I do use the term correctly. This group of witches is hell bent on getting this ghost ship up in the air.
Absolutely insanity and yet another example of Military Waste.
