”Where the hell is my ship?”, Gabriel Moyer snapped at Admiral Deveniss as Starfleet Command connected with the King’s Fleet.
“All staffing decisions are the responsibility of the Chief of Staff Admiral Tan of the Hierarchy.”, Deveniss chuckled back at the irate Commander in Chief.
”Not funny.”, Admiral Moyer responded.
Admiral Tan entered the room talking with Dr. Trmel. Gabriel yelled, “Tan, what the hell happened to my ship?”
Tan looked at the screen, “The USS Independence is leaving the Delphi Ardu V at Warp 4.5.”
”The crew of the USS Independence aboard a very old Starfleet ship but not my ship.”, Moyer shouted at the Hierarchy Clanner.
Deveniss also turned to the portly Admiral, puzzled by the statement.
“The crew of the USS Independence was reassigned by the authority of the Task Force Commander after an intervention by the Marker.”, Admiral Tan explained.
”What the hell does that mean?”, Deveniss and Moyer almost stated in unison.
“The USS Independence attempted to dock with the Marker. They were warned that their presence was not welcome by Captain John Warren, Task Force Commander of the King’s Fleet.”, Admiral Tan further explained.
”Captain John Warren is deceased.”, Admiral Gabriel Moyer snapped.
”The Marker Artificial Intelligence operating as Tkon One and using the nomenclature Connie Marker has begun using recognizable interfaces to the King’s Fleet to operate the Marker Systems. One of those operators is Captain John Warren. Captain John Warren is responsible for ship operations involving the Marker. Captain John Warren warned the Independence not to engage with the Marker.”, Admiral Tan explained.
”What does that have to do with the Independence?”, Moyer shouted.
”The crew was warned that further interaction with the Marker would result in reassignment under the ship staffing rules.”, Admiral Tan announced.
”There are no such rules.”, Moyer screamed.
”You will have to take that up with the Tkon Empire.”, Admiral Tan chucked.
”Not funny.’, Moyer repeated himself, knowing that the Empire had been lost centuries earlier.
“Now where’s my ship?”, Moyer once again repeated.
”Commander Sunny Jo Warren, Commanding Officer of the Sovereign Class USS Quasar Quest reporting in, Admiral Deveniss.”, Sunny Jo appeared on the screens with her big smile.
”That is my ship.”, Moyer shouted at Deveniss and Tan.
”Not according to Captain John Warren.”, Sunny laughed, “Isn’t she a beaut?”
”I will bring a whole damn task force to get my ship back.”, Moyer shouted.
”I will put my faith in the Tkon Empire and our new friend Connie, Admiral.”, Deveniss smiled.
”If you bring a task force, all you will do is re-arm the King’s Fleet.”, Deveniss winked.
