Tkon One, operating as Connie and upon learning of the human tradition of taking your partner’s last name calling herself Connie Warren after engaging in a relationship with Captain John Warren or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof, has been a bit of a fixture in the King’s Fleet offices trying to understand what and who she was protecting.
Connie looked at Admiral Tan, “I have a question. How has the King’s Fleet been able to manage its ship compliment for such an extended period of time?”
From 2278 in the Betazed Sector of the Alpha Quadrant to the current 2400 staging in the Xindus Sector of the Alpha Quadrant in seven colonies, academies and task forces, the King’s Fleet has nearly always had the same ship compliment despite total losses on at least three of the seven locations.
Tan smiled, “Interestingly enough, it has largely been preference of the commanding staff. Captain Warren always wanted the flag ship to be a Constellation or a Sovereign to honour the great ships in the Enterprise tradition and to acknowledge his own legacy as a legendary Captain. The Cardassians have always wanted a Galor Class and those loyal to the early history in the Omega Fleet love to called it Tanmesad, Cardassian for shield. The Academy has had many chancellors in its history but has always chosen at Ambassador Class because its larger crew bays allow for more teams to be aboard to take more chances on the bridge in order to develop the next round of leaders in the Fleet. Obviously, the medical ship is an Olympic Class. They were literally designed for this application.”
”I have come to understand that your savant abilities makes this the ideal role for you and I appreciate your understanding of the role of the ships and crew compliments.”, Connie kissed Tan on the cheek.
Admiral Tan blushed and smiled.
“Please have the appropriate crews ready.” Connie Warren announced.
