Vincent walked into the coffee house.
Bobbi-Lee tossed a coffee mug, "Stay out!"
"Please.", Vincent responded.
"You gotta listen.", Vincent explained.
"I never planned on anything with Mary-Lou Cole. Christine T'Nley called me and told me about Mary-Lou's crush and jealousy of what you have. She asked me to talk to Mary-Lou. I never knew that Mary-Lou would show up dressed like that.", Vincent begged.
This was falling on deaf ears.
"I love only you.", Vincent explained.
"Love is loyalty, a**hole.", Bobbi-Lee screetched.
"My parents are coming to the Colony and I am returning to Earth. This whole thing was a mistake. My child will be born there and will be raised by me and my mother. I was too young for you anyway. She wins, Vincent. She gets the Commune, BLACK and she can have you. It is her happy ending.", Bobbi-Lee screamed and then started to cry.
Vincent tried to touch her but she pulled away.
"I am leaving, Vincent. You broke my heart.", Bobbi-Lee explained.
Vincent had nothing to say. He had did this. Christine had arranged for the situation but he had let down his guard. He was furious with Christine for doing this but in his heart, he knew it was not Christine who slept with Mary-Lou, it was him. He knew it was not Christine who kissed Nicole. Nicole kissed her.
Christine may be the manipulative one but it is the officers of the colony who behaved inappropriately.
Vincent was humbled and embarrassed. He looked at Bobbi-Lee.
"I have no excuses. I was an idiot. I did this. I messed up the one great thing in my life now for a piece of tail. I have no explanations. I was stupid."
Vincent just stood there. He could not believe his words or his actions.
He turned to walk out. Bobbi-Lee looked at him, "Do you love her?"
"Of course not, I love you.", Vincent responded. "I love you."
Bobbi-Lee wiped her eyes. She stood there a long time. Vincent held the door handle. There was a long silence.
Bobbi-Lee finally spoke, "I love you too."
The words warmed the room. The eerie chill seemed to disapate.
Bobbi-Lee walked over and hugged him. Vincent hugged her back.
"I will spend the rest of my life repaying you for what happened.", Vincent whispered.
"Damn straight.", Bobbi-Lee laughed kissing his ear.
