Magenta was working in the lab. The truth is she was a bit high strung. She and Nikki had been very sexual, to the point of being annoying prior to gettting married. Since they got married, they had hardly been together. Magenta had stayed in Veltkamp Village to avoid being charged with contempt for a couple of nights. Nicole had spent a week in prison because of her own contempt indescretion. She need to relax. She really needed a coffee.
She walked through Omega Prime. It was cool to see some of the humans preparing for the Christmas holidays. She had learned from Brenna that the school had also done some stuff to prepare for Christmas. I asked her, "Even the non-humans?"
"Yes, Mommy Magenta. Even the Cardassians made circle chains.", Brenna smiled.
Brenna had been her only joy of late. Magenta walked into Bobbi-Lee's. The more pregnant Bobbi Lee wandered over and hugged Magenta.
Magenta smiled, "Coffee and Baileys."
"That kinda day.", Bobbi-Lee smiled.
"That kinda week. Nicole told me that Cleveland Powers is getting off today.", Magenta explained.
"I heard.", Bobbi-Lee smiled, "There are no secrets on the Phoenix Colony."
Magenta turned to head back to the Liwei Institute. She just nicely started to walk when S'Nii caught up to her.
The Vulcan walked beside her, "She used to be mine you know."
"Come on!", Magenta turned towards S'Nii.
"You took your shirt off once, as a student billet and she told you to put the freaking thing back on.", Magenta scolded.
"She just did not know. I could have shown her things.", S'Nii was a positively bizarre stalker.
"I slept in her bed last night, Sunny.", Magenta scolded.
"She will know again.", S'Nii retorted and turned to walk away.
Magenta walked into the Liwei Institute. She frantically searched for her combadge. She rarely wore her uniform. She knocked a few things on to the floor.
"Dammit. Where is the freakin' thing?", Magenta screamed.
Finally, her science green uniform dropped onto the floor.
Magenta tapped her combadge, "Lt. Commander Magenta Coren-Branson to Vice Admiral Nicole Branson!"
Nicole could hear the fray in her voice, "Go Ahead."
Nicole thought something terrible had happened.
"Nicole, where is Brenna gonna be after school?", Magenta asked.
"She is going to go Governor's Tower. She has a Christmas gift for your mother.", Nicole responded.
"Why is there any danger?", Nicole was now a bit apprehensive.
"Oh no. You just damn well better be there when I get home.", Magenta was still frantic.
"Ok.", Nicole responded filled with puzzlement.
"And you better be laying on that bed....", Magenta snapped.
"Ok.", Nicole continued to be puzzled.
"NAKED!", Magenta was frazzled over being called out by S'Nii and about their recent relationship struggles.
"Ok.", Nicole giggled.
"Did you hear me?", Magenta ordered.
"Yes, Ma'am.", Nicole responded.
"But there is one more thing, Magenta.", Nicole laughed very loudly.
"What's that?", Magenta snapped.
"This is a open comm-link. Everyone else on the colony with a combadge heard you too.", Nicole laughed again.
Magenta looked down at the combadge, realiziing it was the scientific update frequency. She covered her face. It was as red as any command uniform.
There was a long silence and then Magenta tapped the combadge one more time, "Just do it."
"Yes, Ma'am.", Nicole laughed.
The entire colony was laughing but Magenta did not care. At least they were talking about her and Nicole together.
