[Omega Prime Colony] New Mayor - New Vision - Dr. Trista Coren, Executive Officer, USS Princess Diana

Nicole was in her office when she heard the Trista Coren News, a person with whom she was developing a relationship. She thought they moving towards something but OBVIOUSLY not.



Trista had been to the Academy. She saw her offices. She saw the clasrooms and in truth she thought they were awesome but this was something that you did near retirement and that is the exact thing she told Vince. She did not have the heart to tell Nicole.



Nicole rushed out to the launch bay to find Trista stowing her gear on the shuttle for her trip to Governor's Station. Nicole grabbed her hand, "Why?"



Trista looked at her and told her the news, "Governor's Station was attacked shortly after the USS Christmas Wish. The Martin Luthor was horribly damaged but will be repaired. The Station is badly damaged and may be removed from service. The Princess Diana is returning immediately and requires every available person to restaff her. The Quasar Quest has joined the Alliance of Guardians and will begin plans for retaliaition. Nicole, these are my friends, I have to help them, I am sorry."



Nicole started to cry. Even she thought she was crying too much. Nicole looked at her, sucked in through her nose making an awful sound, hardly appropriate for the beautiful commanding officer and told Trista, "You have to go. I would too."



Trista hugged Nicole. They have never really hugged. They have just held hands. Nicole knew right away that Trista would not be back. She was Star Fleet. She could not just be an instructor at the Academy. She was a fine physician and will make a fine first officer for Commander Nathaniel Warren and the USS Princess Diana.



Trista boarded the shuttle. She gave a simple wave. Nicole stood there. Tiara was a psychopathic killer. T'Liama was a Romulan Spy. Tacita did not want her. Trista was a career soldier. She could really pick them. She was going to be alone again.



Nicole is learning, as every member of the Fleet must learn. The Fleet must have priority over all other activities. Once you are in, you are all in.
