The Tholian Threat – Meeting of the Minds Empty
PostSubject: The Tholian Threat – Meeting of the Minds   The Tholian Threat – Meeting of the Minds EmptySun Apr 04, 2010 6:16 am

Indigo Coren loved her role as Student Advisor and she was becoming quite a diplomatic aide helping arrange the seating for Commander T'Ros and the Romulan contingent, for Commander T'tan and the independent Vulcan contingent, for Tabrine Mandu and the Caitains, for Cole Porter and Major General Ferdinand Fidelis and the Anticans, for General John Wayne and the Talosian Birds, for General John Smith and his Jarada insects and finally for the Bajorans of Boston. Indigo prepared them for the briefing.

Nicole Branson informed the community that she had briefed President William Hunt on the situation and asked that Commander Teero and Dr. Isaac Newton explain the physics. While the swing theory seemed very probably, the concern raised by the community was confirmation from inside the Dyson Sphere.

Nicole and Vincent knew this was coming and had Commander T'Zohl prepare a statement. The USS Quasar Quest had delivered Commander Summer Vasa and Lieutenant Caitlin Wu to the Dyson Sphere. Summer Vasa, as a former operations chief of the mighty Station Destiny could get the pair inside for confirmation.

Commander T'Zohl sood with Captian John Warren on the Double Q as Summer Vasa returned to the bridge. T'Zohl explained that Summer had gotten Caitlin inside the Dyson Sphere and wanted to confirm the situation. The Vulcan was very calm. The same could not be said for the Territory Omega city leaders who remained stuck in a world of darkness, the beauty of the Tyhon Expanse skies covered by the Dyson Sphere. Summer looked at the group. She was a bit nervous. The Betazoid Operations Chief patched a comm-link to Caitlin Wu.

The image startled the group. The Tholians had altered the Operations platform to better suit their physiology. Caitlin spoke through a Breen-like translator as she confirmed that the Tholians were frantically trying to search for a way to get the Destiny defence grid to fire. Caitlin confirmed that the Tholians were intrigued when the Baku destroyed the Son'a invaders using the sphere over a year ago and had been working on the swing theory physics since that time in the hopes of capitalizing on the locale change and taking the Phoenix Colony for the Omega Sands reserves.

Caitlin warned that that without the complex EVP provided by Commander Vasa, she would be dead in the intense heat of the Dyson Sphere atmosphere. She told the group that if the Tholians figure out how to work the equipment, the firepower would easily overwhelm the colony and its tiny 4 ship battlegroup.

Caitlin also confirmed that the Tholians have former Destiny Station Diplomatic Chief Drak Lorel, a Baku in custody and have even tortured the mysterious host in the hopes of figuring out how to run the defense grid. Caitlin also confirmed that the Tholians are aware that Phoenix Colony members Commander Summer Vasa, Chief of Operations for Governor's Station and Commodore Tan have an understanding of the station operations and may be able to operate the defence grid. Caitlin warned that these people are in grave danger and should be protected. Lt. Wu already had a soft spot for Commodore Tan.

She then disappeared from the screens. Commander T'Zohl suggested that Commodore Tan and Commander Vasa be brought to the surface immediately. Colonel Belvedere Brown will be ordered to secure the Clanner and his Betazoid friend.

Vincent warned John and T'Zohl to be on high alert. The Tholians would assuredly know that Commander Vasa was on the Double Q until retrieval could be confirmed.

Vincent looked at the group, "What is our next move?"

The Romulan T'Ros stood up, "The Romulan 72nd Battlegroup is on its way. We will destroy the Dyson Sphere."

The comment brought a chuckle from the room. There was no way to destroy the sphere.

Commander T'tan looked at Vincent and Nicole, "What about rapid change in the internal environment? We could freeze them out."

Vincent looked at the Vulcan, "Intriguing."

"Maybe your intelligence operator could undertake this task?", T'tan continued.

"The EVP would not protect her through the rapid change.", Commander Teero reminded the group.

"She is intelligence and expendible.", T'tan logically responded.

"Hey.", Nicole jumped in, "Lt. Wu is one of us."

T'tan glared at Nicole, "Logically, she understood her role in this."

"I don't care. That is currently not an option worth exploring.", Nicole snapped.

"What if we had someone who could endure the physical changes?", Vincent asked.

"There is no such person or suit.", Teero responded.

"You are not exactly correct, Commander. Commander Vanessa Sanders, the cloned Captain of the USS Providence is a Tholian Experiment. She has the necessary structure.", Vincent explained looking at the Dossier.

"She could enter the Dyson Sphere and make the necessary alterations.", Vincent continued.

"Caitlin and Summer would be necessary to get her to Operations. The station is massive. We could beam them out and then she could alter the atmosphere. Because of stasis, Mr. Lorel would be saved as well.", Vincent explained.

"Commander Teero, get the the Providence CO down here. We will need to go over the details.", Vincent ordered.

Acrylos turned to Cherry, "Make this happen."

Lt. Cheerful Vasa smiled, "Yes, sir."

Vincent walked over to T'tan, "Thank you for your insight, Commander. The Phoenix Federation is grateful for the Vulcan support."

Commander T'Ros glared at the pair, "The Romulan battlegroup is still coming, Commodore. Force is the best solution."

General Chikace Larle, the Klingon arrived late with Christine T'Nley, "Now someone is speaking out language."

Casey and T'Ros left together. Vincent did not like the Klingon and the Romulan talking without someone from the Phoenix Federation nearby.

Christine looked at Vincent, "This is bad, isn't it?"

Vincent looked at the Vulcan-Romulan hybrid, "It is bad."
