Surprise! Surprise! The Romulans deny involvement in the destruction of the Station, Sigma Station Alpha. Shocking!! What were they going to do? Admit responsibility. Furthermore, amazingly, the Omega Emergency Services Police Officer assigned to the case is Sgt. Robert E. Leo who is known more for giving ice cream to the children in his district than for solving cases. Remember the Purist attack on the Academy. Unsolved!! Well done, Officer Leo.
Even a fool can understand that the attack on Admiral Veltkamp was a diversion to destroy the station, Veltkamp I actually respect. He is the genius who had to have known when he put the tiny outpost here years ago that there was Omega Molecule at the core of the planet. He is a man of honor and grace but his recent decisions have puzzled even me. Installing the lesbian art student in command of the colony comes to mind. Rear Admiral Nicole Branson, give me a break!! Her appointment to Rear Admiral is purely clerical. She served Star Fleet making damn awards and such. She was promoted in a clerical capacity and now she is in charge of the most important Omega Research Program in the damn Quadrant. Now rumors abound that Branson is about to become Vice Admiral and Associate Deputy Commander In Chief of the entire Omega Fleet. Please Admiral Veltkamp, reconsider. This woman may very well have nearly gotten you killed. She is sleeping with a former Tal Shiar Operative. This Romulan may somehow be linked to the shot heard round the quadrant.
Now we come to Vice Admiral Williams Wells. Wells must have caught Veltkamp in some sort of lie. How the heck does the Director of Temporal Relations get such a plumb role? His most famous activity so far is decorating the Admiralâ?Ts Mansion for Christmas. This man was on the tarmac when Veltkamp was shot. Considering his upward mobility, perhaps even Wells is a suspect. Usurper!! Perhaps.
Now we have the new Space City robbing the Colony of valuable resources. What of this Viceroy character? Gavin Viceroy is the nephew of our illustrious Co-Chancellor Vincent Viceroy, whoâ?Ts only on the colony as the last step towards retirement. So far his only accomplishment is bedding the beautiful trophy girlfriend and former Earth Party Girl Bobbi-Lee Kennedy. Good for you, Vincent, you have learned well from the commander, you are sleeping with a student. Nice example to set for the academy classes. Perhaps Gavin Viceroy had something to do with the attack on Sigma Station Alpha to stage his infamous Izarian Slide. His fleet was dying and about to absorbed by the Alliance of Guardians and now he is attached to the Omega Colony, a thriving two city mid-sized class M planet with access to Academy graduates. Suddenly his station is important again. The so-called Kingâ?Ts Fleet has been reduced to the â?oAll the Kingâ?Ts Menâ? Task Force. Gavin Viceroy could easily have arranged with our aging Admiral Vincent to attack both Veltkamp and the station. These men are far from above reproach.
Speaking of the Alliance of Guardians, what of this bizarre link between our own Admiral William Wells and this very, very young Rear Admiral William Hunt loosely associated with the Omega Fleet. This Hunt was considered such a rebel by Star Fleet Command that he was given the USS Wrath of Achillies and sacrificed to the Jemâ?THadar. Unfortunately for Star Fleet Command and the eerie Sector 31, Hunt survived the execution. Would this Hunt be so motivated to extract revenge on Star Fleet by attacking the Omega Colony Leadership and even Admiral Veltkamp? Hunt had already negotiated in the silent takeover of the Kingâ?Ts Fleet; perhaps his plans were to eliminate Veltkamp and the station belonging to former Vice Admiral Nick Covington in order to weaken the Omega Fleet to such a state that they would become nothing more than â?oTask Force Omegaâ?, a Fleet Division of the Alliance of Guardians. This Hunt is so dangerous that we should be weary of his every activity. He clearly has something on Star Fleet command to get such a plumb role as Rear Admiral at such a very young age and furthermore to be in charge of the important Alliance of Guardians. Wells knows this man personally and perhaps has been aiding and abetting his silent takeover of the Omega Fleet.
All of these questions need to be answered. The most important being:
Who Shot Tim Veltkamp??
And before you go casting any questions on the Omega News Network or on me, Christine Tâ?TNley, the Omega Colony Information Officer, know this, if I shot anyone around here, it would be our illustrious commanding officer, Rear Admiral turned Vice Admiral Nicole Branson and she is still alive. I never shot Veltkamp, but I am damn sure wanna know who did?
