Admiral William Wells will forever be known to the members of the Phoenix Fleet. Wells was the diplomatic genius who negotiated the merger of the Omega Fleet under Admiral Tim Veltkamp and the Alliance of Guardians under Admiral William Hunt. Wells demonstrated keen negotiating skills and made us the merger possible. He will be remembered at the Omega Academy for the Diplomatic Library which now bears his name, The William Wells Library .
The students already loosely refer to it as the "Well of knowledge."
William Wells service to Star Fleet is exemplary and deserves recognition. The Public Works Department of the Phoenix Fleet is only too happy to honor this great man with the library name.
Furthermore, the Iconian Gateway Research Facility known as Atlantica will be moved to the new planet within the Phoenix Fleet territory. This leaves a hole on the ocean front. The Territory Omega Public Works Detachment has already left for the gateway to build a new city. This city will be known as Wells and its suburban front will border the man made lake named in the honor of Colonel Merken Vreenak.
Like Admiral Wells, Colonel Vreenak will retire to the Phoenix Colony. We are grateful for the service of these two men and a respectful of their accomplishments.
Gentlemen, you will never want for anything on the colony. We are humbled to give you this retirement gift. Enjoy your retirement.
May you spend countless nights on the stone porch looking up at the stars and reflect on the greatest of your accomplishments, showing us all and in particular the students of the Omega Academy that greatness can be achieved in Star Fleet and that greatness can be recorded in immortality.
