Nicole had betrayed Libby with Private Ontario "Tara" Todd. Libby was hurt. She could have left. In light of the Black Widow history, she should have left but she instead tried to convince Nicole to stay. Nicole never meant to hurt Libby. She just needed to understand where in her life she was. The ladies took the children to the beach. Brenna, Francine and Mac had a wonderful time. Nicole remembered what it was to have a family and to be with loved ones. It is exactly the memory she needed.
When she returned to the Governor's Mansion, the children rushed upstairs to play. Nicole looked at Libby, "Do you know how much I love you?"
Libby responded, "How much?"
Libby giggled as Nicole tackled her on to the chesterfield.
