The explosion ripped apart the headquarters of Starfleet Command. The explosion killed Romulan Praetor D'Terah Suran, Starfleet Tactical Advisor Admiral James Hatherton and changed the course of recent history.
Sonjac Naar'Haaj ordered all leadership personnel into space until such time as the person or persons responsible are identified. The Romulan High Council has reinstated Praetor T'Ros as the regional representative of the Romulan Star Empire and Praetor T'Ros immediately turned over the only ship to stand up to the King's Fleet in the Temporal Incident, the Eagle's Talon to her own daughter, Commander T'Ken.
At first, T'Ken refused but the obvious truth presented itself. She was not really the Academy Chancellor. It had always been Branson. T'Ken was the token Romulan to give the appearance that the Younger Academy was a school for all. T'Ken was embarrassingly named the Executive Officer of the Plato. Now she was in command of an entire Romulan Task Force. She could do some real damage and has been tasked with finding out who killed Suran. There is much speculation that it was her mother, Praetor T'Ros.
The Cardassian Union, devastated by the Tanmesad and forces loyal to Minister Garak, has allegedly taken credit for the attack. Legate Phanell is not above an act of terrorism. He killed Legate Anwar to gain his position. No one has heard from Phanell himself but sources close to the House of neroC have confirmed that the rebuilding Klingon Empire has been arming the Cardassian Union and even providing manpower to the rising rebel forces.
V'Larii and Brittany had been on the bridge of the Andrew alone for quite a while. Parker had been in seclusion after the death of James Hatherton. Her father was killed in the attack on Starfleet Headquarters. Michael had came out of the ready room a few times but a tearful Parker never emerged.
Both FBN and RBC had mistakenly identified the youthful looking James Hatherton as her brother on multiple times. The former Director of Temporal Investigations had the pleasure of youth out of his time in temporal universes. Hatherton had been a continual threat to the King's Fleet with an open distaste for Nicole Branson and for the regional fleet system. He had on multiple occasions been an interim head of Starfleet and had been openly critical of Vincent Viceroy especially when Viceroy was selected to lead Starfleet Command. These men had been at odds on many occasions but recently as Hatherton transitioned from investigations to tactical, James and Viceroy had begun to see eye to eye more often. Now this, Hatherton is dead.
The King's Fleet attacks in the Romulan and Klingon worlds during the Temporal Incident to solidify the Starfleet position were partially coordinated by Hatherton who also advised both President Branson and Admiral Viceroy on the Temporal risks of using the King's Fleet vessels. This may be why he was targeted.
Vincent briefed Admiral Deveniss and Admiral Tan on the tragedy and on other potential targets. Vincent has called home Colonel Zoe Beamon to arm the hell out of the wej'veQ to make sure it does not happen here. Colonel Brown and Captain Leo could have the surface but no Cardassian or Klingon rebels were going to make a similar attack on the wej'veQ or the King's Fleet.
