Governor Deveniss Empty
PostSubject: Governor Deveniss   Governor Deveniss EmptyMon Sep 22, 2014 6:15 pm

Monica really wanted command of the cha'paj but Paul was not about to give it up so easy so her mind jumped into overdrive. Monica quickly left the station for the surface to meet with Governor Galileo Leo.

The Governor was truly overwhelmed by all that he had on his plate with the restaurant empire and now the leadership of the colony in light of the failure of Governor T'Ken. Monica proposed a trade-off. She and Deveniss would take over the colony civilian government and Galileo could continue to govern the city. He would retain the title of Mayor and control over the cities civilian activities.

Deveniss is seen as the victim in the devastating loss of the Snake Pit and remains popular with the citizenry. Galileo's endorsement made the decision easy. Governor Deveniss would take over the colony.

Monica's next step was to reactivate the Independence Point facility first opened by Dr. Rhythm Dennyson. She knew that the renovated lodge on the fringe of the Mountains of Eyja would peak the interest of the good doctor. She has operated Atlantica and other facilities which offer an alternative to going to a holosuite or something like that. Monica completely renovated the facility to create the awesome new lodge in the shadow of one of the great victories of the King's Fleet Marines. The facility was incredible. Rhythm would clearly be jealous.

Monica knows how this works. Dr. Dennyson will begin to put heat on Captain Warren to get command of the facility. This way, Governor Deveniss can be approached to take over the cha'paj. The chess game has begun.

Nothing on the colony ever happens without pawns being moved to achieve what or where the personnel want to be.
