The Tanmesad has been a lightning rod for all things Cardassian in the King's Fleet. The fact that Vash and Thua'ra are still on the ship is still a source of ongoing criticism with the fleet and now that the Tanmesad was trapped behind enemy lines in the Union and the King's Fleet nearly lost the Andrew trying to affect a rescue route, the criticism is loud and clear.
Admiral Madison has continued to be supportive of the King's Fleet despite the official Federation and Starfleet stance on the regional fleet program. Richard knows the value that the King's brings in support of the buffer state at Reykja Penthe.
After the Tanmesad incident, Starfleet agreed to reassign a Atriau class from the regular fleet to serve as a support vessel in the King's Fleet. The ship has been christened the USS Usain Bolt after the legendary human sprinter because of the speed of the vessel.
The ship sent Monica's plan into motion. Captain Paul Warren has finally made it back to ship command after only short time commanding the cha'paj. The opening allowed Admiral Deveniss to return to his postion as a station commander and to immediately select Monica as his executive officer. The problem is Rhythm accepted the leadership of Independence Point. Paul was devastated and left alone on the Bolt.
They are going to try a long distance relationship but only time will tell. It is going to be very difficult.
Paul stood on the bridge of the Bolt and looked out the window. He knew his father would be so proud. He had made it all the way back but he hoped that it would be with the Aquarian at his side. Toni came up to see Paul, "Problems, Captain?"
"I just wish Rhythm were here.", Paul gave a forced smile.
"The service is never easy, Captain. Never easy.", Commander Viceroy looked at Paul.
"It sure isn't.", Paul confirmed.
