Robert grew up in a restaurant family on the Caitian homeworld. Though he lived in a city, his little burrow was what he knew. When he joined the Police Corps. on the Caitian homeworld he was given a simple beat. He rarely ventured beyond it.
Here on Omega Prime, he patrolled from the Cole Condos to the Academy but even Robert knew that the city was expanded very, very fast. With the massive refugee community being given homes and the resultant additional refugees plus the remarked Omega Fleet gated community bringing in beautiful home as well as the reactors to run them, Omega Prime had become a major center.
Robert still went every morning to the refugee landing pad near the Omega Prime Council Building. He loved to see the warmth and smiles of those who were living in tents on Asteroids in the Badlands when they were given keys to their homes. This is what the Omega Fleet motto is all about, "A home..."
Robert stopped for coffee at BLACK in the morning. He and Bobbi-Lee had become very close. Robert was deeply hurt by pictures of Bobbi-Lee with Admiral Viceroy. The truth is he lost his opportunity by not going for it with Bobbi-Lee and he knew it. She still sat with him and they laughed and giggled their way through the morning news. Robert looked at her with a deep admiration in his eyes.
Bobbi-Lee patted him on the head, stroking his Caitain hair. She knew that he knew that he had missed an opportunity. Robert headed for work. She smiled.
"I know you have my back, Robert.", she smiled as he left.
He knew that he was the second choice. He had always been the second choice. He was not in Star Fleet because he never went for it.
