Richard took his place in the command seat, and waited for his crew to arrive. Otison was already at tactical. He acknoledged the CSTO's presence, and diverted to his console. His XO was the next to arrive. " Commander." Poteat said, as she sat to his right. Not long after, the rest of the bridge crew arrived.
" Status report!" Poteat ordered.
As he was listening to the rundown, he noted it in his console. " Hail the colony." he said.
" Channel open, Captain.' said the Comms Officer.
