Brenna and Michelle were in the park working on a science project that Brenna and Michelle teamed up with for school.Brenna was sitting there putting the pieces together while Michelle was working on setting up the effects and etc.The girls were doing a project on rockets and the science behind it.Michelle wrote up the report while Brenna made the parts and drew the blueprints.
After several hours of working on it,Michelle noticed a couple of wires at the bottom not connected.Michelle connected them when Brenna had her back turned and Michelle picked up the controller checking everything out.Michelle seen a red light flashing next to a yellow button and she thought something was wrong with the button.So Michelle pushed it and the rocket took off like a bat out of hell.Seconds later the rocket flew over to the city area and hit one of the buildings causing a loud and ground shaking explosion.
"Michelle.....No....."Brenna said.
Michelle just looked at Brenna then at the buildings on fire."Oops."Is all that came out of Michelle's mouth.
"Oh no.....Mom is gonna kill me."Brenna said in a panic.
Suddenly the buildings started collapsing one by one.Thankfully no one got hurt and the city wasn't completely destroyed,but the center of the city laid waste in ruins.
"Uh....Oh...."Michelle said with her eyes widen and her mouth dropped open.
Michelle seems to easily get herself into trouble a lot.She is clearly a menace to society.The ONN is gonna have a field day with this one and Nicole isn't gonna be very happy.Especially when Brenna is suppose to be watching Michelle and helping her to learn enough to catch up to the level of her age.One thing for sure is Michelle is a handful alright.
Everyone came running out of the other buildings screaming in terror and wondering what it was that made the loud noise and caused the ground to shake like that.Even these strange humans from another place came running out of the federation complex to see what was going on.
Someone from the crowd yells"We been attacked!We are under attack!"Then moments later someone sounded the city wide alarm and military personnel started pouring in with emergency teams.
Brenna just fell to her knees shaking her head as she looked at the ground.Michelle sat next to her putting her head down too.
Nicole,Vincent,Shianna,and Anna came running out of the Federation complex as well.Anna and Shianna just stood there in shock disbelieving that someone attacked the city like this.
"Holy sh**!", Vincent exclaimed.
He looked at Elora as she stepped out of the complex, "Location of the shooter. If it is the station, order Warren to blow it up. Also scan of lifesigns. Beam anyone who is in danger to the trauma center immediately."
"This is a primitive incendiary, Commodore. It appears to be a crude chemical mixture. Like something from 1990s Earth - a primitive "dirty bomb."", Elora explained.
"It was not fired from the station. There is a lot of damage. I have informed Captain Laaker Teero and Colonel Acrylos Teero. Industrial Replicators are on the move already. There were only a few minor injuries. The Damage Control Systems were functioning in all suburban dwellings. The two injuries were to Brenna Montgomery and Michelle Baxton.", Elora reported.
"Where are the children now?", Vincent asked, grabbing Nicole by the arm.
"They are at the Leonard McCoy Institute.", Elora answered.
Before anyone could speak, Nicole beamed to her child. There was gonna be hell to pay for this one.
Vincent looked at Elora, "Is there any way to protect the children from further such activity?"
Vincent did not want Nicole to have the distractions with the Babylon Station being their primary focus.
Elora looked at Vincent, "I will order Captain Leo to place them on a monitoring combadge. We can then monitor their activity from the Federation Complex."
"Perfect. These children cannot be a distraction. We have a job to do. If Branson and Baxton can't see that, I will lock them up.", Vincent grumbled.
"Elora, Christine is gonna hold her own explosive barbecue when she sees this one. Nicole better get Brenna straightened up or she could risk losing even more of her power base.", Vincent snapped as he walked into the complex.
Christine had not even arrived yet when Powers was speaking to the Federation Media, "The situation is fully under control. The incident can only be described as a terrible mistake. Captain Laaker Teero of the Omega Prime Fire Department has assured me that we have the situation under control. My government, a government for the people of this colony will begin work immediately to replace the homes destroyed and is already taking steps to put our wonderful citizens up in the Omega Academy student housing."
Powers strolled away as if he had accomplished something special. It was Acrylos Teero as Chief Engineer and Laaker Teero as the Fire Chief who had been the real workman of this control.
