Christine watched as the events of the Odoital unfolded. She covered the events for the BBC. She enjoyed watching the Bajorans raise their fists in celebration as the rogue ship drove the Tanmesad and Legate Anwar from the skies. The incident had ingraciated Vash and Varno to the people of Ephyra.
Regardless of their lizard white skin, they were Ephyra now. This is what Nicole hoped to bring to the colony and Christine could not help but notice it was working.
Christine met Father Rollie Grace at a prayer meeting for the Antican Marines when she went to interview Colonel Belvedere Brown about the defences on the ground should an incident get that far. Anwar is not about to quit and go home.
Father Grace only answer, "The prophets be willing, we will be protected."
Christine, a child of the Vulcan T'Nley and Romulan-human hybrid mother, scoffed at the recurring reference to the prophets and actually told Rollie that she would find a way to prove that the energy generated out of the wormhole was purely scientific and not something from any gods or prophets.
Rollie enjoyed the verbal jousting over religion. It was the first time his faith had been challenged and he had an answer for every T'Nley question. Rollie looked at Christine, "Would you like to get a drink?"
"But you are preacher.", Christine muttered.
"We are not bound by any vow of celibacy, ma'am.", Rollie chuckled.
"I would love to.", Christine had not met a man, especially an Antican like Rollie in too long.
The pair enjoyed wonderful conversation and even debate. Rollie was versed in many topics. Christine looked at Rollie, "Would you like to come back to my place?"
"Christine, I fought for the Anticans against the Borg. When I remove my robes, I reveal my soldier background. This exterior protects me from showing my true self.", Rollie responded.
"I think I should like to see your true self.", Christine flirted.
"I think you will be disappointed.", Rollie responded.
"I will be the judge of that.", Christine answered.
Rollie Grace was part of the experimental research used to increase the size of the Anticans in an effort to fight the Borg. When they did this, much of the fur was lost. Rollie had taken special care to dress in the appropriate robes and with his skin to allow himself to appear 100% as an Antican and not the freak he had become. He explained the experiment to Christine as he rode in the hover train.
"If you want me to go, I will go.", Rollie responded.
"You are not going anywhere.", Christine flirted as they walked into her apartment.
She disappeared to change into something more comfortable. She slowly came out of the back as a naked and hairless Rollie stood there. Christine suddenly felt a bit scared.
Rollie moved forward and grabbed her from behind, putting his large clawed hands on her abdomen, "Do you want me to leave?"
Christine had always been fascinated by the Anticans and looked down at the hairless dog-like humanoid and his swinging appendage. She was mesmerized by the size of everything and actually thought of Meadow Coren and her legendary stories of Major Tanus. Christine giggled, "No... Heck no!"
Soon she was bent over her coffee table -- "Doggy Style" -- and allowing the Antican who had been alone on Ephyra for 3 years vent a little sexual frustration. Christine moaned and she could not help herself as she shouted the Bajoran blessing, "Blessed by the Prophets."
Everyone had come to Ephyra, the Garden of Bajor hoping to plant the seeds of a new life. Christine and Rollie were reborn with a seed of a different kind.
