General Brown's shuttle landed on First Corinthian's and the Dogs and Dragons linked up at Deck 535. Bell looked at Tanus, "I will share a Cognac and a cigar in Station Ops in four hours."
"Whiooo-Waah", Tanus grunted.
Mickey had never seen this in Tanus before. He had such admiration for General Brown. It was a different look than she had ever seen from the special forces guru. Sgt. Maj. Michigan Todd had been in bed with Major Tanus and she had never seen that look.
General Brown looked at his men and women, largely Antican army and hollered, "Blow the door!!"
The Dragons and the Dogs rushed the door.. Next stop, station ops!!
The fire fight was brutal. The Focal Point, the Betazoid First Movement had a very loyal following. They were ferocious and could communicate without speech. They were a formidable fighting force. It was these very skills that helped end the Vulcan Empire under V'Ros. The battle was not without casualties but at 545 am Earth Mountain Standard Time on December 21, 2393, The Dogs of War and the Dragons entered Station Operations aboard First Corinthian's Station to occupy the station the King's Fleet helped build in the early 2380s. For the First time since Vincent and Gavin Viceroy stood in Station Ops, a King's Fleet senior officer contacted King's Fleet command to inform them that the station was under King's Fleet control and was awaiting further instruction before heading for the surface.
Tanus looked at Bell, "I will tie that Cognac now."
Bell smiled opening his pack. The two war legends sipped from fine glasses. Tanus had a ton of adrenalin from days of fighting. He spoke out of turn, "I have a very different cigar for you to smoke."
The large Gorn gave a playful wink. Bell was shocked. He had worked so hard to get young Jack. Was he ready to betray that for his war partner. Bell thought of other times with the Gorn. He thought about Christine waiting back home. He was filled with the adrenalin of victory when he pulled Major Tanus into the cargo bay and closed the door. The senior officer knelt down, unzipped the uniform pants and tasted that cigar. He remembered the small but soothing size of the Gorn. Bell stood up and turned around. His whole life he had been in command. He was the General but with Tanus he was the bottom. Tanus was in command and as the Gorn entered the General, the Dragon assumed control.
This was a celebration of one of the great victories in the history of the King's Fleet. Both men deserved their moment. They had shared so much together.
