Nicole needed some busy work. She just did not want to be in the capital anymore. The scrutiny was incredible and Orchid simply did not want to see her. Nicole went to see Vincent to see how the meeting went. Without the ammunition of the failed relationship, Lt. Commander Masters had nothing on the Commodore other than the actions of the Vice Admiral in his office and Vincent promptly reminded the Morality Officer that it was the Federation Ambassador who opened the door. The contracts could have just as easily been signed in his office. Ophelia was not happy but placated for now.
Vincent asked Nicole to go to see Commander T'tan to prep her for a visit with Lt. Commander Masters. Nicole found T'tan also experiencing the same grilling over the incident in the village with Commodore Viceroy. She had embarrassed the Vulcan Council with her behavior. Commander T'tan quickly explained that she had been experiencing the pressures of her own ponn'farr brought on by all the activity in the Omega Academy. She told Nicole that she believed that she had it under control now and with the help of her Vulcan Consultant had been able to meditate away the overwhelming desire to mate.
Nicole told Commander T'tan about the Lt. Commander Masters and the Federation attempts to install a higher moral standard on the colony. The Vulcan insisted that she would be able to handle the morality officer and Federation advisor. She also reminded Nicole that Venice is technically not Federation property as the City State is considered part of Vulcan and therefore not under the authority of the Federation or Star Fleet.
Suddenly, Commander T'tan started sweating. She looked at Nicole.
Nicole asked, "Are you okay?"
T'tan started to wipe the sweat from her brow and remove her Federation jacket and uniform top to reveal a bra top. Nicole asked T'tan if she wanted her to get her Vulcan advisor. T'tan walked over and grabbed a candle and artifact from the counter and put them on her desk. She sat down and tried to center herself. She explained to Nicole that she did not understand why the Ponn'farr was far more active here than at home.
Nicole did not understand enough about Vulcan physiology to comment but remembered even Captain S'Nii had enhanced Ponn'farr and far more often when she stayed at her house. It must have something to do with the Omega core and geo-thermal energy.
T'tan tried to center hersel, but the warmth that filled her body was too intense. Soon she was removing her clothes, trying to stay centered. She apologized.
Nicole stood up to leave. She did not want to get into another mess. T'tan lay on the floor looking up at Nicole, "Please don't leave. Don't leave me like this."
The next 5 hours are something that cannot be adequately described but suffice it to say that Nicole now knows why Commodore Viceroy could not resist the beautiful Vulcan.
Nicole stood up, exhausted. T'tan stood up, refreshed and reformed. She was suddenly in control again. She thanked Nicole over and over again. It was very late. Nicole called a cab. She could not even find her uniform, it had been flung away.
No one would see her anyway. Commander T'tan and Vice Admiral Branson went down in front of the building in the near darkness to wait for the cab. T'tan kissed her once more.
The cab was soon swooping in, followed closely by another car... Driven by Lt. Commander Ophelia Masters... She saw Nicole and T'tan standing there...
Ophelia looked at them. She shook her head. She was about to launch into Nicole when T'tan stepped forward, "Lt. Commander Masters, Nicole Branson is the finest officer on the colony having helped me through a very difficult time with respect to my Ponn'farr. She has been a most gracious host sacrificing her own well being to help me maintain my logical center. She is a not to be a villified deviant, but to be a heroic leader and fine officer."
Ophelia was dumbfounded. T'tan had trumped her. Nicole quickly got into the car. T'tan leaned in.
"Thank you very much.", T'tan smiled, kissing her on the cheek.
"Thank you for helping me with Ophelia.", Nicole smiled.
T'tan leaned out of the cab, "Aye, Sir."
She saluted Nicole in officer fashion. Ophelia was furious. She thought she had caught Nicole. She thought she had caught Vincent. She had caught neither...
