A Carbomite Colony Empty
PostSubject: A Carbomite Colony   A Carbomite Colony EmptySun Dec 21, 2014 9:10 am

The search for a solution to the Moriarty problem had been shared with Starfleet in the hopes that those vessels exposed to the logs of Enterprise under Captain Picard may too have encountered the holo deck recalibration program may come forward to assist in the virus control within the industrial replicators but furthermore may assist in the search for the ghostly like Moriarty hologram.

There are more than 80,000 vessels service to the United Federation of Planets including so every old ships who claim lineage all the way back to the First Federation. Some of these ancient vessels are icons of an older times. When Commander Summer Lau picked up the existence of the Finnegan, the First Federation markings did not set her off.

The Finnegan was demonstrating problems with propulsion but had already sent some key engineering data that has proven most helpful to the viral recalibration for the Industrial Replucators. Summer first noticed the venting gases at a great distance but felt that it would be interference to offer assistance to the First Federation vessel. It was only after the gases were detected on the bridge decks, did Summer inform Admiral Tan of the potential crisis.

Tan immediately moved the Archangel into an intercept course owing to the potential fora rescue requirement. Tan asked Summer to make contact with the Finnegan. A booming and deep male voice responded demanding that all rescue attempts be averted. The crew of the Finnegan could look after themselves. The odd thing is the response was without an image.

Tan reported the scenario to Admiral Viceroy. The King's Fleet Commander in Chief joined them on the Operations Platform. Vincent ordered the Finnegan to show the happenings aboard their bridge. Antoinette created a blue hue image above the table of the war room.

The commander of the Finnegan identified himself as Captain John Balok and the image slowly appeared. Vincent felt very unnerved as the image and booming voice was that of King's Fleet Task Force and Quasar Quest commanding officer John Warren. It was obvious that the Finnegan had used the false image in the past. The bridge imagery was a very accurate recreation of the Sovereign bridge of the Quest.

Vincent looked around the room, "Ideas?"

"They have already been very helpful and possess high end engineering knowledge. They have shown no acts of aggression. Our policy should be non-interference.", Summer offered.

Pasha walked over, "We may not have a choice. The Finnegan gases are coming from their warp drives. The ship is going to be torn apart."

"No interference!", Captain Balok shouted in the booming voice.

"Ship integrity is down to 10%. The Archangel will not be able to affect rescue. The Finnegan is lost.", Pasha sadly announced.

"Can anyone be saved?", Vincent demanded.

"We may be able to transport the bridge crew to the Archangel.", Summer observed.

"No interference!", the voice repeated.

Vincent looked at Tan, "Ideas, Admiral."

"I don't know.", Tan looked at the floor.

"Captain Todd, I leave this to your good judgement, Ferguson. You are the only one who is close enough.", Vincent announced.

Ferguson looked at the command crew.

Terza looked at the human, "We have to try."

Fergie looked at Del, "Number One?"

"Preservation of life is the very mantra of the Archangel.", Del responded.

"Arexa, save as many as you can.", Captain Todd ordered.

"No interference!", the voice boomed on all channels.

Del, Aphrodite and Ferguson went down to the transporter room. Aphrodite screamed as the four children appeared on the platform, "They are children."

The tallest of the children looked at First Lieutenant Delaware Todd, "I am Captain John Lennon Balok of the First Federation Vessel, the USS Finnegan and I am 147 years old. I request a replacement vessel and immediate return to space."

"Ummmm... We are not at liberty to provide a vessel but weare pleased to offer asylum in the colony of Reykja Penthe and with the King's Fleet.", Del looked at Captain Balok.

"You should have let us die.", the youngest looking almost toddler like officer looked at Del.

"And what would that have accomplished. You obviously have advanced abilities and have already been helpful in our industrial replicator viral infection. This knowledge would have been lost.", Arexa looked at the smaller humanoid.

"We have lived a long time, dealt with prejudice over our appearance and stature. We have lived our lives. We, I have made mistakes with our warp engine that cost us our ship. For that incompetence, we should have paid with our lives.", Chief Engineer Humphrey Bogart Balok looked at Arexa.

"Mistakes are part of service.", Arexa looked at the child like human.

"Get them whatever they need and return to the Pavillion.", Captain Todd joined his staff in the transporter room.

There is much to learn from these child like humanoids.
