Acrylos had tried everything to route power from the TNT engines on the North Pole of the Colony through the Replicator Grid. He could not get them to accept the additional energy from Omega Enriched Fuels. He had been up under the colony's crust for weeks while the process was being route and re-routed.
S'Lyyna has been a handful. The Vulcan reporter filled in for Christine T'Nley when T'Nley recovered from her Klingon enlightenment. She is out to replace the hybrid host of ONN. Christine literally wanted to get rid of her when she sent the young Vulcan to the North Pole to cover the activities of Colonel Teero.
The Bajoran did not really want her around either. The colonel was working on the project and she only kept asking questions about how and what he was doing. The colony had been without replicators for nearly 2 weeks and there were now people who were beginning to experience the pain of starvation. There are only 5 ships in the King's Battlegroup. Their replicators and stores are not designed to feed 1.3 million people.
S'Lyyna stood next to the metal basin that Teero had set up to mix the fuel used for the giant engines. She looked at Acrylos, "Just a pinch, you say."
She picked up a handful of the sand, micro-enriched Dilithium Crystals. Before Acrylos could get the word out, "No!!"
She dropped the sand into the basin. The blue flame rushed up in front of her. Acrylos literally tore her uniform top off to prevent her skin from burning.
S'Lyyna turned around, covering up in embarrassment.
S'Lyyna looked at Acrylos, "I am so sorry."
Acrylos looked at the blue flame rising out of the cauldron, "Yahooo!", the Bajoran exclaimed.
"What?", S'Lyyna responded.
Acrylos picked her up and twirled her around. She had no choice but to put her hands on his shoulders exposing her perky little breasts. Acrylos looked up and smiled, "Uhlan S'Lyyna we have power. I was trying to mix the fuel to softly. By putting in so much, you have created a violent reaction which fused the molecules together. We did it."
Acrylos lowered S'Lyyna to the ground. The pair shared that immortal first moment. Colonel Teero has an odd but not committed relationship with Felicity Powers but in this moment he made another connection.
As the colony's replicators once again began to light up, so did a burgeoning relationship. Colonel Teero and Uhlan S'Lyyna...
