For a very long time, the King's Fleet has not been in a position of authority with enough of a threat of force to impose their will in the region but the recent request by Chancellor Francois neroQ to the Federation to halt strategic strikes in the Klingon shipyards has finally given Admiral Vincent Viceroy and his leadership group the authority to act.
On December 19, 2395, Admiral Vincent Viceroy, Chancellor neroQ, Romulan Praetor T'Ros and Vulcan born Federation President T'tan have established the Klingon protected zone her after known as the Penthe Place. The King's Fleet has been granted the authority to install and use fully operational ship destroying equipment on both the wej'veQ and the cha'paj which will effectively create a demilitarized zone in the Beta Penthe Sector.
The move will allow the King's Fleet to actively pursue climatological control on the surface of Reykja Penthe without fear of attack from the Klingons or Romulans. This can effectively establish the Omega Academy as a training facility that does not require such sacrifice by the student. The Dr. Tegora Vasa Award has been created to encourage students to create climate control projects at the school. The successes will be shared with the Klingon Empire with the goal of terraforming the prison planet of Rura Penthe as well.
