As much as Cleveland Powers would like to tie the hands of Governor Tabrine Mandu, the Caitian continues to attempt to do his job. He has worked very closely to improve relations between Cairo and Paris, particular after the Pharoah Khaman Tal invaded the Antican city back in 2386. Governor Mandu also would like to better understand the Antican Culture in order to have their support in controlling the "Dogfather.".
When Hyla Teero, Curator of the Omega Hydrophonics Research Facility proposed the theory, Acrylos told his sister-in-law that it would not work. The plants would not be able to garner enough water and the framework would have to be very intricate to build a hydroponics bridge across the River Covington.
The truth is the Caitains of Cairo and the Anticans of Paris could use the additional food supplies. The Caitian cooking history is well known throughout the Phoenix Federation with the amazing work of Galley Leo on the USS / CGV Tanmesad. The use of real vegetable and herbs is considered an art form amongst the Caitain people. Furthermore, the use of herbs in the development of pharmaceuticals is known across many races and with some excellent work being conducted by Dr. Christina Lodge and as part of the doctorate thesis of Lt. Commander Magenta Coren-Branson, more research will continue.
Acrylos set to work on the engineering of the framework necessary to establish such a bridgework. His efforts would soon be put into reality with the awesome construction of what is being called the "Teero Tether" merging the two cities in a shared hydroponics bridge. The achievement is being hailed across the known worlds as a remarkable feat of engineering and further evidence of the superiority of Commander Acrylos Teero, the Public Works Commissioner of the Phoenix Colony.
