Major Tanus walked into the Colony complex and looked at Vincent Viceroy, "We are losing ground again. The Cardassians have taken more territory."
Colonel Brown soon entered the complex, "We cannot hold the line."
Vincent could see the fear in these gentlemen's eyes. Elena looked at Vincent as she walked in, "The Pound will stand against any Cardassian force."
She spoke with the great conviction that allowed Bajor to rise up against the much stronger Cardassians. Vincent however saw something in her eyes. She saw the Cardassian Guard walking on her soul. She may be a great fighter; hell a legendary fighter. She however cannot do the impossible.
Vincent looked at Tanus, "Are you familiar with Earth history?"
"Somewhat, Samantha used to regale me with the tales of your people's history.", Tanus looked at Vincent.
"When the Russians were withdrawing after World War II against a much mightier Allied Force, they quit their withdrawal at the middle of Berlin. They built a great wall to stop the invaders.", Vincent explained to his military leadership.
"You are taking advice from the Russians now.", Nicole entered the complex.
"These people mocked their people with oppression. They starved the Ukrainians, they murdered the Georgians and they slaughtered the citizens of Belarus in the name of Joseph Stalin.", Nicole mocked in all her Ephyra Academy Chancellor glory.
Vincent looked at Nicole, "You are the civilian leader, Governor Branson. Those acts would be yours should you chose to follow them. I am speaking about a military decision. We are about to lose the capital. I am not prepared to lose again. I am prepared to sacrifice a portion of the capital to save the whole."
Belvedere Brown looked at Vincent, "The marines could have the wall built in several hours with a good industrial replicator."
Nicole looked at Vincent, "Are you prepared for the consequences?"
"I will do what I have to do to save the colony.", Vincent smuggly looked at Nicole, "Will you?"
Nicole literally stomped her feet, "Do whatever you have to."
Vincent looked at Bell, "You heard the lady..."
"It will be done.", Colonel Brown looked at Vincent.
Nicole looked at the pair, "He who does not know his own history is doomed to repeat it."
