Commander Tania Branson has been a lot of things in her life but a Chief Counsellor was never one of them. John had asked her to take on the role and she had agreed because it would allow her to be on the bridge in Tactical scenarios.
Don’t get me wrong, she was still mad at Captain Warren for using her and her Borg history to rebuild the USS Quasar Quest but she wanted to be on the bridge.
John had told her that given her experiences in space she would be a wonderful counsellor. Hell, she had to put her own daughters in a capsule and drop them into space when the Yellowstone was attacked by the Borg. She had served the Borg Collective as Two of Ten and had served as the Communications Adjunct during Wolf 359. She had ordered the death of thousands. She has immense guilt but she survives.
Tania helped rebuild the Federation Cardassian relationship aboard the USS / CGV Tanmesad. She has been a wonderful mother to Nicole since returning. She can help people.
Although psychological medicine has come a long way in 2296, there is still nee for a medical doctor in the department. The doctor chosen was Dr. Tremicia Pierce. The beautiful dark skinned doctor was instrumental in saving the lives of the crew of the Lexington when a temporal distortion messed with their timeline. They would have starved to death without her expertise. She used that same darkness to help the survivors of Cannibal Camelot. She will do what it takes to survive.
Tremicia was in the counseling chambers when Tania came downstairs. Tania gave a half smile. She walked over to the replicator, “Chardonnay chilled”
“Make that two.”, Dr. Pierce suggested. The ladies were not on shift and had no additional assigned duties.
Tremicia touched the glasses together and smiled. Tania gave a half smile back. The ladies were soon chatting about their dark experiences. Even counsellors need counseling. Tania could not believe how open Tremicia made her feel. To Dr. Pierce, Commander Branson had done nothing wrong. Tania had never felt that…. Not with anyone,
Tremicia leaned in and gave the Borg Disconnect a little peck on the lips. Tania could not believe what just happened but herskin tingled with life at the touch. She was alive.
Tremicia winked at Tania, “I am very famous for eating humans but that was out of necessity. Now you, I might to devour you out of pure pleasure.”
Soon Tania was laying on her back on the floor moaning as the good doctor connected with the Borg Disconnect. She gripped the floor. This assignment was going to be alright.
