When Nicole Branson, her aunt was in charge of the King’s Fleet she literally encouraged romance amongst the colony and ship mates. In her view, it made them 100 percent loyal to one another. They would do anything to save their love.
It has been proven time and time again. When the Quasar Quest was crashing, it was the love between Sunny Jo and Sulu that brought the ship home safely. The pair were destined to be a couple hosting the Trill katras of Captain S’Nii of Vulcan and Commander Lindsay Viceroy. They encouraged similar behaviour on the Quest. It was hilarious to see Inoki Soto arrive on the bridge with a totally blank smile on his face. The very shy Asian Starfleet graduate had been visited by the Benzite Android Bennie who had informed him that it was her duty to bond with him. The shy virgin was gifted with a bonding exercise for the ages. Sunny Jo literally burst out laughing when she saw him. Her encouragement had obviously worked.
The encouragement spread to the Tanmesad as well as Toronto Trmel has been seen with Lt. Natasha Branson. The beautiful blond human appears to be connecting with her families lesbian history. Her aunt had multiple lesbian partners in her tenure as Governor. Toronto has encouraged her dear friend Ozzie Kirk to pursue Thua’sh Lyun but that far the bonding has just been cordial.
Aboard the Archangel, the romance between Major Tonys and Dr, Pierce is already known but the interesting interplay developing between Batja Numan and Dr, T’Oy has been enjoyable to watch. We all hope they become a couple.
Aboard the Providence, Dakota Viceroy has made her intentions know to the Vulcan T’Ensa. Those intentions have been coldly rebuffed. We will have to watch this one. The interesting one aboard the Providence is the badly scarred abandoned Borg drone Tori and the Caitian pilot Picasso Leo. Their love appears to be real and growing. It is an exciting time for both of them.
Aboard the Plato, the budding relationship between the Cardassian-Bajoran hybrid Vash’ra Lyun and the Phylosian Ivy Rose is very cute. They have a lot to figure out given the plant based life form that is Ivy Rose. I look forward to hearing their story develop,
The most interesting one so far is Admiral Trochea (Tr-Oak-Eee-Ahhhh) of Gorn and Colonel Bismarck Einstein, affectionately known as Marky. She was most famously revealed for her tryst with Ensign Squeak aboard the Plato but appears to have found a true partner in the older Gorn. Marky and Rocky have been on the ground together clearing out Klingon rebels on Federation territorial colonies in the Penthe Corridor, It appears they formed a bond when the augment saved the life of the Gorn. This bond is now a full on romance. They make a bizarre couple but they are having fun in their budding relationship and now the Dragons and Zombies have a reason to be aligned. This is what Nicole Branson would have wanted.
