"On what grounds?", Christine shouted as Commander T'tan walked from the Federation Complex.
"I have no comment.", Commander T'tan responded.
"Look, you have released Vice President Nicole Branson and Civilian Ship Commander Anna Baxton without any further charges and we are supposed to just accept that. On what grounds", Christine shouted.
"There is not greater joy than having a child, Ms. T'Nley. No matter how deviant their behavior, no matter how destructive the mistakes they make, they bring a sense of continuity and love. There is joy that cannot be measured.", the Vulcan spoke in oddly emotional terms.
"What? What the hell is that babble about? You expect me to accept that you released Branson and Baxton because they are parents. What a load of bullshit?! You are as incompetent as Branson herself.", Christine snapped at the Judge Advocate General.
"You have not known the joys of parenthood, have you, Ms. T'Nley?", T'tan asked.
"What? What the hell does that have to dowith anything? You have not known such an experience either? You date the f**king troll?", Christine snapped.
"Haven't I?", T'tan looked at her.
"What, so since you have a child, you are now soft on crime. Perfect. We forgive you because you are a mother.", Christine scoffed sarcastically.
Vincent now exited the building to a flash of cameras and image capture devices from ONN and FBN, "That was uncalled for.", he glared at the hybrid.
"Uncalled for. This government is uncalled for. You waste your time saving some unknown aliens in the Beta Quadrant while your children try to burn down our homes. You have no laws. The senior government representative can do anything she wants. She is an absolute incompetent and yet no one sees it. Even the courts protect her. A court so blinded by her new found motherhood that she does not even uphold the law.", Christine shouted for all to here.
Colonel Brown walked up onto the platform, "Hey. This is out of line."
"Oh yeah, the gay Antican steps to the aide of Branson who has been raising his own son while he sulks at home brooding over the death of his lover.", Christine was on her game this morning.
"Captain Phillip Lexington was a hero.", Bell teared up.
"Enough!", T'tan stopped everyone.
"Ms. T'Nley, Mrs. Branson and Mrs. Baxton were released from prison because the chemicals that Michelle had were switched by the unsavory supporters of Cleveland Powers. Yes, the children did cause the explosion but it would have been far more minor had it not been for an attempt by the Governor to discredit Branson to make him the senior civilian official on the colony. I believe Ms. T'Nley, that Mr. Powers is the one who should be doing the explaining right now. I took these facts into consideration in their release. I simply wanted to leave this morning without having to discredit Mr. Powers as well but you have exposed everything on the colony. Congratulations.", T'tan got into the shuttle.
Vincent followed slowly afterwards. Christine stood there looking at the building, "Powers, you son of a bitch!"
